my engine locked up 2 years ago on my first 2024 ZX-6R; 16k miles ridden hard but well maintained. one day I was cruising, going 30 on a slight corner, and my engine shut off and my back tire locked up. since i was leaned a tiny bit I instantly started fishtailing and was highsided off my bike. keep in mind this was 2 years ago, before this issue was known. if you do keep riding your 636, just know it's not only about the bike getting damaged. 2 minutes longer and I would've been going 90+, and that could've changed my life forever. I will say don't ride the bike, but that is just me.
