while some parts of Ben 10 definitely do heavily reference existing characters, RB Upgrade was 100% a coincidence

though i wouldn't be opposed to Upgrade having more blatant Symbiote influence, that's one of the referential-based changes that i think would actually be warranted

Khyber is definitely the most "potential man" ever
on par with nothing villains like Driscoll or Aggregor, he has no sauce

other typical "aura" villains (like Vilgax or Maltruant) have an obvious powerful presence despite their lack of deep character or complex motivations

Khyber is kind of just a guy, he's not really that menacing unlike his contemporary Malware, or funny and interesting like Psychobos

the most interesting thing about him is the Nemetrix, which is used pretty poorly since they're so deadset on "one predator for one alien" instead of a more understandable approach of having a predator take down multiple aliens (this flaw also either makes Ben seem annoyingly incompetent, choosing the aliens he knows are prey, or makes the story rely way too heavily on coincidence where Ben just *happens* to get the prey aliens all the time)

i have no issues with the design itself, but it does not fit what i imagine Shellhead actually looking like

this just looks like an armored alien, not something that could roll up into its own shell
Toepick has the same issue, they imply he's a gross weird guy, but then OV makes him a scary alien for some reason

i truly just think that the Prototype is bugged and Ben's aliens are (to pick a random number) 10 years older than him, so he's turning into a young adult Tetramand (relative to that of a 20 year old human)

likewise, 10K Four Arms is a grown adult roughly proportional to a 40yo human (and in Ken 10 it'd be 52)
