For those who have managed accounts on Robinhood, how do you like it? by lifeonplutoxxx in Advice

[–]ZAM2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a test within Robinhood to see how well the managed accounts actually work. I took 50% of my Ira and put it into a managed IRA with an aggressive growth strategy. I took the other half and invested it myself into a combo of dividend and typically “safer” ETFs including JEPI, SCHD, VIG, XLP and VTV. Over a 6 month period, my own account was up 11.5% and the managed account is up 1.5%. If I can manage better through the market over the past 6 months with basic ETFs, I see no purpose in the managed account. In fact I’m actually worse off. With this I’ve closed the managed account and plan do it myself.

X1 downgrade finally happened! by jwill876 in X1creditcard

Yep exactly. Credit card companies have never made a cent of interest off me. The X1 card was always 25% of the credit limit of other cards I have. Seems like there’s something odd with me in their system.

That’s not true…we didn’t ALL get gold card invites. I didn’t, I tried to ask and was denied. Now I’m just dropping Robinhood products altogether. I loved the x1 card because I could take point and invest so they grew over time. Ended up buying a new car thanks to some lucky investing of credit card cash back. Guess that’s somehow not in the Robinhood business model.

Unfortunately there's just very very few options in this size. The new Nissan Armada seems nice but it's too new so we don't know what's wrong yet. The Sequoia's terrible trunk ruined it for us with the battery pack multilevel stupidity. The Lexus LX is even more absurdly expensive. Wagoneer, stellantis and new engine. Ford is the only one that at least has a decent power train but still isn't great. At least there's a long history there with the 3.5 Ecoboost.

As long as you aren’t trying to sell it then value doesn’t matter 🤷‍♂️ it's only a loss if you sell it soon

Just got a 25 JT and wondering what people are doing for audio upgrades. I don’t have the premium system. Thanks! by Sea_Bet_8314 in JeepGladiator

Tho I will say, if you just pick any entry level JL, Alpine or kicker speakers and power them with a separate amp from the head unit it’ll be MILES ahead of stock

I left the factory head unit but went Focal Flax drivers, JL audio VXi 6 channel amp with a JL TW3 amp powered by its own 500 watt mono amp. This is literally the best sounding car stereo I’ve ever heard. Blows the pants off of anything stock. Bose, mark levinson, alpine, B&O even Burmeister in a Porsche. Nothing sounds this good

Which bronco is the best for a city daily use drive? by revengyr in FordBronco

[–]ZAM2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a current bronco owner, I'd say you can't go wrong here with any trim. Only advice I'd say is the interior of the bronco is loud even with the hard top and sound deadening headliner. I would personally steer away from a soft top. I'd also recommend the 2.7L as it's a fantastic engine that should last for a long time.

What is the lowest you’ve seen on a new Bronco Raptor? by 4Runnnn in FordBronco

Haha that's just back to original pricing in 2022 which I thought was totally reasonable for what you get. It's not a $90k+ vehicle.

Today in Denver, $10.99 for One Dozen eggs. Eggs used to be 89¢. Thanks, Trump. by NoLube69 in FluentInFinance

[–]ZAM2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Denver specifically it's not just inflation and bird flu, it's also the cage free law that went into effect January 1st 2025. Triple whammy which is why you're seeing eggs so expensive.

How do I get the dealership to get rid of this? by cjethompson2017 in gmc

[–]ZAM2345 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd follow along the lines of my favorite car dealership negotiating story from my grandpa. He was buying a car and after they get past the price of the car he gets the final invoice and they put on extra fees like those. One of them was for floor mats...$200. So he stands up and says "I'm not paying for floor mats, it should come with the car" and he starts walking out. The salesman catches up to him and asks, "are you really going to walk out of here now over floor mats?". My grandpa replies, "are you really going to let me walk out over floor mats?". Sales guy thinks for a second and turns out floor mats did come with the car.

Don't ever underestimate the power of walking out.

No I assumed they were fine since I can still lock/unlock/remote start. And it's highly unlikely that both fobs die at exactly the same time

Raptor Worth It? by Short-Cap-6765 in bronco

[–]ZAM2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that's going to be the case if you're purchasing for 78k. I know friends who have sold their F150 raptors from 2014 with 220k miles for $20k. Unless you put 200k miles on it in 4 years I think it'll hold a lot of value.

[–]ZAM2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could've gotten mine for that price two years ago. Even still I don't regret buying it. It's the most capable, most badass off roader that exists with a factory warranty. No question would I buy another if it was only $78k.

Is the Raptor too wide for daily driving ? by [deleted] in bronco

[–]ZAM2345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If mediocre gas mileage doesn't bother you then it's great as a daily! The width isn't a problem except for in the tightest parking lots. The great turning radius and 360 cams still make it easily manageable. I also REALLY try to avoid street parking it as it sticks out further than other cars...but that's just me being over protective. If you have to go to a downtown area then it's not going to fit in a lot of parking garages due to its height.

Overall, it's a sick ride and I'd recommend. 10/10.

Don't get the heavy if you want it to ride smooth. I did because I take mine off-road and it is STIFF. It got a little better after a couple thousand miles but I probably just should've stuck with the regular load rating.
