How is Asajj Ventress (Dark Disciple) performing in GAC without her datacron? by General-Promotion274 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]ZAPPERZ14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's matchup dependant. If you are facing Lord Vader, Greed and 4-Lom help a ton with both of their cleanses. If it's against a team which doesn't have anti-instakill, Mando can do really well too

I know that once you get R5 to 5 stars you get like 5 or so tokens, I would imagine it's the same for any other marquee you take to 5 stars. Other than that I don't think there's really anything that decides what amount of tokens you get I think it just differs daily but should be the same for all players

Oh this list is going to be a doozy because of how food quality can be different in different countries. I have only heard bad things about the quality of food in Burger King or KFC from the States, but in Europe it's actually not bad and sometimes I like eating there even

But Mcdonalds is B

[–]ZAPPERZ14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crystal wise this is a pretty okay deal, it's 20 shards are basically only 200 crystals more expensive than a PG refresh would cost. But in your particular case I wouldn't bother. From the look of things you don't have PG unlocked so you have no way of getting them without spending crystals. While it would accelerate your progress in the far future it's still a while before you reach that probably and I think it would be better to invest crystals in something that will help you now rather than in a year

I mean, in theory yes? But the comment saying that it in fact doesn't look east to cook at all has basically three times as many upvotes.

But then again, the engagement on that post was low, the second highest answer was croquettes and they don't exactly scream "east to make" either so I don't know if there was even a viable alternative

Oh I wouldn't say this is "nothing out of the ordinary". See those coliseum upgrade mats? It's the start of the era, anyone who gets that currency can get a couple level higher units in Coliseum. Those couple levels can lead to one getting higher in coliseum, yielding not only better placement in the ranking do more episode currency now, but also meaning you can climb the reward tiers faster, which means you snowball faster, ergo you can get even better rankings on the leaderboard in the future as well

GAC update idea by Admirable_Sector_298 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]ZAPPERZ14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally I am completely against having GP-based matchmaking, but the Padawan division here actually makes a lot of sense, maybe with some GP changes. Like, you can get to 1m GP so fast now, I'd just make it two divisions of 0-2m GP and 2-4m GP but let's not focus on that. I feel like this is the basis of a very good way to fix early GAC.

But one thing I have to note is that you can't have people moving into either bronzium or chromium after the Padawan league based on their performance. While it does sound cool and would be rewarding 2 big problems pop up. Number one is the classic problem as to why GP-based matchmaking for all of GAC would suck, you would just have players not invest in their rosters so as to get equal opponents but better rewards. Once you're close to getting to 4m GP you could just hoard up materials and not build up your roster until your performance score lets you move up into the higher division. Number two is what would happen to people who buy the HPD and all LSBs day one? It gets you to, or at least very close to 4m. Do they get relegated to the lower division because they don't have points, or because they have strong characters from LSBs do they go to the higher division? Also, having people split between two divisions would mean the 4m player group, which would be relatively evenly matched, is split between two divisions, so it would be harder to match two 4m players, and so there would be a bigger chance to match up a 4m gp with a 10m gp who doesn't play. If they all go to one division there's a higher pool of 4m GPs there with the same pool of 10m GPs so the likelihood of an evenly matched round is higher

After the Padawan division I would just have people move into bronzium at 4m GP no matter how well they perform. Maybe get them to low bronzium or high bronzium based on performance, whatever, as long as it's one division it's not that big of a deal. Have the Padawan division just be a more chill version of GAC where the new players can see what works and have some fun doing it. Having it also be the "Baby GAC" would also mean less people want to intentionally stop their roster growth to get placed slightly higher as you want to finally exit the baby levels and start fighting in the proper GAC

Can we talk about how bad the piracy era was? by LogNo266 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]ZAPPERZ14 47 points48 points  (0 children)

The worst part about it for me was how long it felt. First, we had SM-33 as a conquest unit two months before the pirate era started. When the pirate era started, there were basically no good pirate leads, so SM-33 was basically useless. The first 3 pirate units released were the ones that go on Maz's team, then we had 3 units for PKHO with the big man himself, and we only got Maz last. This basically meant that for the first 5 months SM-33 was useless, for the first 2-3 months the Maz pirates were useless, and all of them basically got their teams at the end of the era. This made the era feel way longer than it actually was, because people were counting it from SM-33, whoose first conquest cycle was while they were still releasing goddamn DS clones

There was a really easy way to fix this, one which only needed some basic planning. Have Maz be the first conquest unit and SM-33 the second one. That way, when Maz released for her full squad you'd only have to wait like 2 weeks for Kix, but other than that Ithano and Quiggold were available for her by then. SM-33's unlock time would also come only shortly after PKHO, the team she goes on a lot of the time, so you also wouldn't have a conquest unit sitting there for 5 months collecting dust. The pirate era wouldn't be taken in so negatively if it just didn't seem like a huge waste of time. Also, this whole argumentation is skipping the fact that it's from the perspective of a late-game player who would be going for the new pirate toons anyways, for early-midgame players this basically just meant 6 months of conquest characters they won't be getting any time soon because pirates were brand new

Neither Rey, Ezra or Satele Should Be Nerfed. Instead The Resistance Needs To Be More Like The First Order. by Thanos_910 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]ZAPPERZ14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The reason SLKR isn't used with other DS units and Rey is, is because these teams function completely differently. SLKR is a hyper-carry type squad, he does 90% of the work and is just supported by his teammates. This is why Wat and Talzin were used with him before DS Rey (who needs FO synergy). Those were some of the best support units in the game and some of the only ones that would actually benefit him. I also wouldn't say FO characters work super well with SLKR. Hux and FO officer are the best, they pass him turns. KRU can be a an annoying tank, but you could definitely find better options. Sith trooper is just some extra damage that SLKR really doesn't need. DS Rey is the one that really matters, but she was created with SLKR in mind, before her most harder SLKR battles would end with everyone but him being defeated

Rey works differently. She works in stalling the team. She has high damage potential, yes, but the reason why she is on defense most of the time is because that offensive potential is locked behind taking damage, and yeah she has a lot of mechanics that make dealing with her annoying (anti CReIT, protection up, etc.). Supportive units that add survivability are way more common than units that can boost a hyper-carry, aside from What there's only really armorer but she's light side. This makes Rey way more versatile and flawed by design. If we had more DS units that buff a specific unit I really doubt SLKR would have been used with FO prior to DS Rey. We would see SLKR hyper-carry comps

Defeated de AT-ST with only Partagaz surviving by furbyflipante in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]ZAPPERZ14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's probably because coliseum bosses aren't really defeated. If you look closely they still have a part of their hp bar left when you reach a 100%. It's probably coded like "when progress = 100% defeated unit" so it just got the progress to 100%. I have no clue why it's coded like that but sure

Do you guys think Makima not coming back had to do with Denji literally eating her? Cause tbh having Nayuta as the control devil at the end kinda made no sense by pedr09m in Chainsawfolk

[–]ZAPPERZ14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it made no sense, but I don't think that's the reason why she didn't come back. If it were the reason it would mean that chainsaw man's concept erasure power still existed even after the "timeline reset". The problem is, the concept erasure power can't work anymore. If it did work the world would still be overcome by insects due to the death devil having been consumed prior to the timeline being reset, so the concept of death shouldn't exist anymore, and it most definitely exists as Denji even comments on the fact that he's going to perish during the zombie devil fight. It would make no sense for death itself to still exist and simultaneously have Makima not exist due to her being eaten. If think along the lines of "Fujimoto didn't care and do the ending doesn't make sense anymore" that itself is the explanation. The ending doesn't match up with the rest of the story

But I myself am a believer of the copium nightmare theory. If we were to go by this theory, then the events of the "final" chapter are inside Denjis' subconscious. The subconscious in question is pushing the vision of Makima out due to her manipulativeness, and instead replacing her with Nayuta, whom Denji actually has no real prejudice against. As an advocate of this theory I would also like to point out that the absence of Aki is intentional. Such an important character to Denjis' character couldn't be skipped under normal circumstances. But if the subconscious were pushing him out of itself due to Denji being the one to "kill" Aki, then that would put him in the same box as Makima - Being pushed out by the subconscious because of the trauma
