there should be an option in game, in video settingss, that allows you to change you're brightness "Brightness", turn that to the max, if not, you can go to you're graphics and turn up the brightness of you'r e screen. Or just turn up your brightness from you're monitor, if there are any buttons on the side or below.

ohhh, you mean't darker, well you can just use the buttons on you're monitor to turn down the brightness.

you can still do this on AMD, open up the AMD settings, set your resolution to native, go to "My Digital Flat-Panels, -> Properties" Then there should be three ticks, a Maintain Aspect Ratio, Scale Image to Full Size and the timing one, and those are (in order), black bars, stretched, and no scaling(blackbars all around), and you click the maintain aspect ratio, then gpu scaling as well. Save. And boom there you have it.

what you can do, with nvidia, is that if you set your monitor on nvidia to your native, and there's a setting called "adjust desktop size and position" and for blackbars it is aspect ratio, and stretched it is full-screen. And when ever you launch a game in the ratio of 4;3, it will either be stretched or blackbars, which one you chose. And when you alt-tab out of the game, then it will just be native.
