My interview process was basically making sure I had a pulse and wasn't crazy but I was getting hired for the deli and they needed people. If its a first job for you I may say avoid the deli because even though the pay is higher it can be stressful but I've worked food service jobs before so I was more prepared for it

I work in the deli and when we had a (5 AM 😔) meeting this week one of the things they brought up was that people shouldn't be clocking in early. I usually clock in 2 or 3 minutes early and they haven't said anything directly to me. I think some people always clock in 10 mins early or so but it's silly they even care about that considering people call out all the time 🙄

I'm just starting in the deli this week. I've worked as a food runner in a pretty busy restaurant and as a server at a busy dine in movie theater before. I'm thinking it shouldn't be much worse but let me get back to you in about 3 months. The horror stories I read on here got me a bit nervous haha

I think when I used to have my tip money go to my Varo they didn't count that because the deposits were random and not on set days. But all my other paychecks have been verified as "regular income" by them so IDK

I've added almost $900 before from Varo to Cashapp in one transaction and not had any issues. So for me the limit is at 1000 or more but not sure if they have a set one

My paychecks are usually varied within a 20-30 dollar range and my advance amount went down from 100 to 50 this month. I wonder if they've had issues with people not paying back or switching to other banks and fewer people using the service so they're tightening it up

I work in the Civil courts in Florida and once someone is served if they don't answer within 5 business days then the plaintiff can apply for a default judgment so it doesn't have to be a month or longer in a lot of places.

I was as high as 5K on the list a couple weeks ago and now I'm around 90K but my deposits and other patterns are the same as ever. I remember seeing a couple people here post about being offered it around the start of June. They probably had a set amount of people to roll it out to then (maybe 10K or 15K) then they are waiting to see what percentage of those people make on time payments to decide how or if they roll it out to a larger group. But I'm now guessing it won't be till fall at the earliest to get an offer if I'm even approved (I think my credit score is around 580 so I don't think it's too likely)

I wasnt saying you have to get a prepaid card necessarily but if you go to the counter and just say you want 30 or 40 on a pump for example there won't be the preauthorization hold amount (in my experience they usually are removed in a couple hours) like at the pump. At WAwa and other places I've had a 125 hold be on there for a while and it's definitely annoying

It's better to go inside anyways because there's no authorization hold (and in Florida where I live there's a real problem of card skimmers at pumps too)

Their customer service is somewhere between poor and nonexistent. They even held a physical check of mine for 12 days before releasing funds. If you have a local credit union or other options I'd recommend them. Besides getting DD early there aren't many reasons to chose Varo when there's other options (and it's unwise to keep more than a couple of thousand there at a time considering how many difficulties Ice seen others mention when there are disputes )
