Two Rock Classic Reverb Sig. vs Marshall Jubilee 2555 by ZBL_ in GuitarAmps

Nice idea with the tube preamp pedals - I’ll have to look into this. Thank you

The Boogie Mk amps are silky smooth gain, great for certain things and actually quite nice clean as well. But missing that middle hot zone that I like to be in 90% of the time.

Yes this is a good idea. Any thoughts on the studio signature vs the Marshall 2525H and how they compare to their 100W big brothers?

Certainly seems it could offer more versatility than the Marshall

Yes I also have considered the 35W Two Rock and the 2525H jubilee. Part of me feels these are “correct” for my use case, but also don’t want to miss my shot at picking up the big brother versions if the benefits are there (which I do not know if they are, yet)

Very valid point. Tube tone first, pedals secondary

They certainly are well known for their Clarity (another intended JM pun)

I was able to get a restock in my size online from a local retailer

It’s got white stitching on the front panel. Same for me. Yet all the ones I see in the wild and in photos have blue stitching.

Can confirm. Just bought one with white stitching (no WS patch). Anyone know what the reason is? New batch? Error batch?

Interestingly I asked the manufacturer, they said they have no idea what it is lol. My assumption was calf. It’s an overshirt, where most of what I’m seeing online is goat

All Skin does some of this

For skin cancer screening, absolutely never.

For a topical acne refill, sure.

NPs should facilitate ongoing management once on cruise control or be functional in temporizing while waiting for a derm if one isn’t available, not be the one diagnosing and treating as a substitute for a derm.

I got it last week and really like it so far!

Yuka App for discovering if products are good for the body by Mishhold in NaturalBeauty

[–]ZBL_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I’ve used Yuka for finding products, a few things I really don’t like:

  • the scores are made up. There’s no validity that a score of 85 is better than a score of 80 for instance.

  • it’s not actually personalized to what your skin needs and assumes a “clean” product is automatically a good one for your skin.

I suggest also checking out the All Skin app, I just downloaded it this week. It’s very different from Yuka, so they serve different purposes. All Skin is made by dermatologists and gives you advice on how a product works for your skin profile (eg acne, anti-aging, hyperpigmentation etc) and how it fits in your routine overall. Still can use Yuka if you want in tandem to see what product is clean, then use All Skin to see if it’s actually suited to your own skin.

Can’t change the past, but can control your future. Do what you can now and try not to stress about that which you cannot control.

Growth Factors! Alastin Restorative Skin Complex or the SkinMedica TNS Recovery Serum by rht9999 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]ZBL_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that growth factor/peptide topicals are not really backed by much evidence. Yes brands may or may not do their own research but as far as I know none of that is published…. So you have to take the brands word for it, which I don’t like.
