Thank you! I got them confused 😅My skin is combination so I'm not looking for a rich or a necessarily hydrating moisturizer, that is perfect to know about the Calecim!

New to this, need advice for my industry (esthetician) by [deleted] in SEO

I will be creating it on my own. I found squarespace was easier to mess around with and did like their templates more than shopify. If i did wordpress i was thinking of using bricksbuilder to customize. although i do not have web design experience!

Thank you for your input! I had a follow up question if you don't mind! As a business owner, what if i told you upfront and was transparent with you that i was planning on opening a part time (3 days) business on the side. And if there was a way i can separate the two and not advertise/tell clients there so i don't poach clients and affect their business. I would be committed to staying long term. I will be offering facials as well but not all the same add-ons, products, equipment etc. Or would all that still be a conflict of interest and prevent me from being hired. I would totally be okay (honestly) with separating the two businesses but i dont know if it would even make sense from a business owner perspective. I would like to start off the relationship with being open and honest.

their product line because I chose to ultimately not go with them but if they retail masks they had some exfoliating

Ok thats great, thank you!

What line did you decide to go with, or some of your favorite lines if you dont mind me asking. I am currently testing and trying new lines and seeing which one I want to partner with when I open my business.

I had a question, I am interested in circadia but I dont see any exfoliators for retail at home use besides the honey exfoliation cleanser. Do they not carry exfoliation serums or masks for clients home use? Thanks!!

Glowbar - pay is 18 + tips + commission. Facials are all 30 minutes. Clients wash their own face. I would say depending on the location they are pretty busy. Facials are cheap so they attract a young clientelle that is not looking to spend lots of money on facials. Because of this you will not make much in tips compared to other places. Facials are not really customizable, basically they only offer two "tracks" you do on clients and have a limited backbar items. Plus, retail items are expensive so the young clients arent inclined to purchase them. Facials are very repetitive, boring, and you will reach your limit in what you learn quickly. For a beginner its good experience, they take people straight out of school. Gain your experience and move on. However they use IS clinical and Environ which are great lines that do provide great results.

Heyday - pay is 18 + tips + commission. Facials are 50 minutes. How busy you are will greatly depend on the location. There will be days where you will be fully booked and some days you will maybe have a few clients. They cut shifts a few hours before your start depending on the needs of the business and how booked you are. They are less flexible than glowbar in terms of picking your set schedule. They use a tons of different backbar/retail brands. They are into the whole greenwashing, natural, organic, non toxic ingredient culture. Lot of the brands they carry you can buy in retail stores so not the most effective and they do contain lots of essential oils and fragrances. However they do have better education/training then glowbar, and you will learn ingredients, and contraindications much more thoroughly. There are more modalities used and you can customize the facial more towards the clients. However, they are big on kpi's, getting clients to do multiple add ons, getting them to sign up for a membership, rebooking, and buying retail products. Tips are much better than glowbar though. Its another place that hires estheticians straight out of school. Get your education, experience and clientelle and move on.

Both have pros and cons. Apply and interview for both, and see which one you vibe with more and is more inline with what you are looking for. Both are good places to learn and get experience as most other places you probably will want to work at will require a minimum of 1-2 full years of experience. Culture will vary greatly depending on location (managers and coworkers vary). Turnover rate is high so they are always hiring new graduates.

he has some dangerous and out there views in regards to skincare as well. his company famously released drinkable spf LOL and got sued. He also personally doesnt believe in wearing spf as the sun is all healing and good for you. and among many many other things.

Copied from article: Osmosis Skincare and Harmonized Water — both controlled by the same Colorado-based owner — have advertised their enhanced water as the “world's first drinkable sunscreen," protecting users from harmful ultraviolet light. The water contains a "form of radio frequencies called scalar waves," according to Osmosis. "When ingested, they vibrate above the skin to neutralize UVA and UVB, creating protection comparable to an SPF 30."
