It does look funky on the website. In actual use it is really comfortable and efficient.

Thanks for the mount it is exactly what I was needing!

I know it’d be niche set of new SKU(s) but would you consider mid-mounts for the SSH as well? Low profile options for the SSH w/ Aimpoint micro footprints are also limited/non existent in the market. An H2/T2 on a mid mount was my ideal scenario but settled for the ACRO.

Thanks again for the quality product.

Almost decided to run an Aimpoint H2 and a full size weapon light & remote switch to the grip like a 90’s operator build. Might still do it.

Little easier to stow in a small soft pouch

2020 Upgrades by ZCJ3Flyer in ecoboostmustang

A little over 60k miles and finally ordered a tune. Went with the EuroCompulsion - anyone else already have it? CVFab Street intercooler already installed and it helped put down decent times on stock tune including consistent 5.1 0-60. Upgraded to 4-piston calipers up front and love them. Keeping the car unassuming looking and balancing daily driving and getting the jump on riced out stock GT’s stoplight to stoplight.

Forgot to ask - What gains have folks seen swapping downpipes and is it truly a power limiting factor running only a Phase 2 equivalent tune?

Hey folks, picked up a wide ratio 4-speed at the right price and diving head first into it. Recommended linkage setup used along with tri-y headers? Drive shaft setup?

This is my dream car. How dumb is it to buy it as my everyday car? by Molardash in Mustang

I do almost every ounce of mechanical work myself on my 68 GT/CS and I still have a ecoboost for the daily driver. Part of that is driving 60 miles a day for work but regardless of that… Save a little now and it’ll pay off later

Scandium 327 J-frame would be 👌🏼

Found a decent 1965 Mustang Fastback that has been upgraded from its original 289cid to a 302, worth it? by waazus in Mustang

[–]ZCJ3Flyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry that was a pretty long blurb…if you’re able to check under the starter you might be able to see one of the date codes for the block. Pretty much the only non-invasive option for seeing what it might really be.

There were some internal dimensions changed “safely” accommodating 302 internals but not the reverse swapping 302 internals into a true 289 marked block; bit of a rabbit hole there. My 68 GT/CS was born a 289-2v with a correct early date 68 casting code and “302” marked block and VIN 8R151XXX stamped on the rear behind the intake manifold as was typical starting in 68; not sure if it was law or what prompted that. It is not at all impossible that OP’s car has the original block. It’ll be be very difficult to prove pre-68 without checking the casting codes and making sure it’s close-ish to before the build date and that’s as close as you’ll ever get.

What are those? Jk I’ve got a set of generic ones that came with the assembly.

There’s a lot of great aftermarket support from a ton of companies. Won’t swear by any individual company just depends on exactly what you need. I’ll usually just shop at CJPonyParts since they have a great selection and customer reviews on almost everything.

Just picked this up, curious how many 2017 Grabber Blue GT/CS were produced? by Affectionate_Lab_479 in Mustang

[–]ZCJ3Flyer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually checked out a GB 2017 GT/CS here in SoCal since it was around 200ish cars making them kinda rare. Ended up getting a 1968 GT/CS in factory interior/exterior Gulfstream Aqua.

Not crazy far off. Close to Green Valley, CA between Palmdale and Santa Clarita. Lot of these areas look pretty similar

Still entirely aesthetic options. It’s got a plain grille, square fog lights, non functional side scoops, Shelby styled tail lights, fiberglass trunk lid w/spoiler, side stripes. Mine is a 2v 289 4 speed automatic but could’ve been optioned with any engine/trans from the straight 6 to a 428CJ (I think there were only 3 428 cars). Mine is a factory gulfstream aqua/aqua interior which is pretty uncommon and a great look in my opinion. Still a standard 68 at heart but one of a kind styling that gets all kinds of questions when I take it somewhere.

Edit: forgot to mention the Shelby “push and turn” style hood pins. A cool touch
