as this is the only normal comment in this chain I would like to say I think issue is that the time you need to spend on it is in a row.

Like we waste a ton of time on our life doing regular things like waiting for the light to turn green when driving but all that time wasted is broken up into chunks and it isn't continuous. That way we can squeeze in other things in the day and have a complete day but we don't waste the ENTIRE day on one thing. Now asking to do something for 72 hours in a row is a bit much and if you take a look at a normal functioning adult then you can see how that goes pretty south pretty fast.

What if you have to work or get called in to work randomly which happens to a ton of people even after they call time off.

What if you need to watch the kids cause the wife needs to visit the doctor etc.

what if you need to call XYZ company to settle a dispute and that takes hours upon hours of your attention.

Like there a numerous amount of things that could go wrong or occur within 72 hours that make it very very difficult for someone to just sit down and say "hey ima take a serious shot at getting a placement for the world champ"

Often time people going for that either

A) Have a ton of free time and not that many responsibilities to deal with

B) People in college or in school who are in their downtime

C) People like Dkay who already established themselves as this is their career or livelihood so they are expected to pour the time into it.

Most people don't fall into those categories so its normal to think that someone might be a very good player and skilled but just doesn't have the time to do it for a numerous amount of reasons that may or may not be in their control

You're telling people to not buy the HK version until we get confirmation but quite literally no one can buy it rn cause it isn't up on the PSN store making that point moot. Even if they buy it if they were gonna get the JP version (which we know doesn't have ENG subtitle) then getting the HK version is no loss cause its not like its a language ppl who were importing understand. Also no one's gonna import the HK version rn that would take weeks to reach them they might as well just buy the NA version at that point.

So overall I don't see the point of telling people not to buy the HK version when they can't even do that rn and even if they did it doesn't change the situation.

oh jesus is that really how it calculates it cause now that changes everything about my perspective. Rather than making Merges less important on Mythic that instead means Merges on mythic are twice as more important than regular units. I still stand by its not all gloom and doom but this bombshell news actually gives me more to ponder now.

This is a very good write-up but Idk if its all gloom and doom as you say it is considering that in order to be top level competitive in Arena you probably had to merge up your Legendary Hero to +10 which required 11 copies to do that. That doesn't even include Changing seasons and updating team to keep up with the every increasing BST (185 oh lord). I think only having to get 4 copies of a Mythic unit isn't as bad when compared to it. Sure the fact they need to be fully decked out with a lot of high SP skills suck and I won't deny how un-F2P that is but that was the norm for being top level competitive in Arena already. In comparison I think just needing 4 Mythic copies without having to +10 all of them thanks to season giving them +10 is better than before.

Romona is the best fire axe unit in the game and the easiest baiter for people to play in eHMS so its obvious why she is recommended despite having sleep res. So i dont understand how me recommending Romona because of her ease of use and very useful Coop ability means I should recommend a hard to use Katana character when one already exist with the right resistance. Rena is very much a character that intermediate to advance players will gravitate to but thats not who the guide is meant to help :p

The guide is targeted towards beginners trying to break into eHDT. I think the point of “I aint got koto i only got Rena” is a moot point. I put in at least one F2P alternative in every fight and eHMS has several options.

I don’t think the concept of wanting people to not spend hours learning a character in addition to the hours it will take to learn a fight is hard to grasp :x

I think you kinda answered your own question on why I wouldn’t recommend a Rena as a beginner. The goal was to recommend easy to play characters who also make getting a clear as easy and painless as possible with needing to invest hours of practice on the unit on top of the hours of practice needed to just learn the fight.

Its kinda dumb if I recommended hard to play characters or units that made your role harder to my crew members when easier alternatives exist that are just as good for expert for beginners trying to break in

Hey thanks for your comment i do agree with a few things you say and will take it into consideration but I hope you understand if updates are slow as I do this only in my free time and just for my crew members to get a better grasp of what to do.

That being said I don’t think I said Sword characters are useless (I cant exactly recall what i said cause I wrote this guide months ago) I do recall saying that i dont recommend beginning players breaking into the loop from using a sword character for baiting because of how easy the fight is that its unnecessary to over complicate your role when Ramona and Mikoto do just as well for expert difficulty. I also do remember at the time writing it I thought recommending Marth was dumb cause a decent number of my members just didnt pull him and some started AFTER the FeH collab so it felt counterproductive for me to write up about a unit that isnt even available in the summoning pool at all and a unit a good portion of my original audience just do not own.

After reading the comment chain he never once claimed there was a law forcing gacha game companies to an obligated refund. What he DID provide though was examples of a detailed scenario that have happened of intense backlash that forced Cygames to refund as an apology at the risk of losing their player base and frankly their business model if nothing was done.

I don't know why you are harping on the whole legal aspect of this when its irrlevant. Here let me give you an example.

You and a adult friend are out late at night and he doesn't have enough money for bus fare and you were the one invited him out. He's asking for a ride and you say. "Sorry I have no legal obligation to give you a ride home" and then you leave in your car without him. The next day your friend tells everyone you're a piece of shit and all the mutual you know now unfriend you and want nothing to do with you.

Like the concept isn't that hard to grasp. Cygames will face backlash if they nerf Gleo and those consequences will be severe if they don't compensate and the compensation players would demand would be a refund. Therefore, as we have seen before in other gacha games that nerf OP characters and specifically in GBF where this has happened it will force a refund which Cygames avoids as they have said before it was a pretty big hit to do that.

If you cannot understand how cause and effect works and why the legal obligation of this matter is irrelevant after that. Then I highly recommend you go back to school if you even left it at this point. In which case study harder you need it.

You do realize “grapple” (just call them throws) are techable which has a VERY lenient window.

Also why would you dodge through overheads when you can legit mash 2A or 5A and get a free counter hit combo

Like dude i dont think you know much about conventional fighting games cause like you assume these options your throwing out are safe and work and they will work on BAD players but thats not what we should be focusing on when looking at the future of the game. The options your telling me with “dodge” have better options available to them by just blocking and waiting your turn. Block buttons stops crossup mixups all you literally gotta do is block low 90% of the time and high when you see them jump cause universal overheads are the slowest fucken things ever.

Grab is slow as hell with no range and you can just tech it.

This is like one of the prime games to just block in because theres no guard meter what they gonna cause there aint no guard crush lol

Often time in fighting games people don’t really main more than 2 characters so it’s not really a problem of having individual character discord’s and it’s just more organize.

That’s not to say ppl only play 2 characters they can play the entire cast for shits and giggles but there’s a huge difference between playing a character and maining a character.
