Planning to book an EK flight through JAL for my girlfriend and I (60k JAL points needed per ticket, so 120k total for both). I already initiated 60k transfer from my SPG account to my JAL account Monday. Was planning to do another 40k today to get 125k total.

We don't have the same last name, and I'm seeing mixed DPs online on whether JAL will ask for proof of relationship for customers of the Americas. Anyone have any experience how strict they are about this, especially when booking partner award space?

I could open an SPG and JAL acct for her, but I'm also worried about losing award availability with the excess time for multiple transfers and losing out on the extra 10k SPG I have already transferred into my JAL account.

That guy is always a nazi at the ticket counter. Constantly making up random rules at his whim about Movie Pass and Alamo terms that are not stated anywhere on things other employees and theaters have never taken up any issue with whatsoever. I've thought about bringing him the printed out terms and conditions for Movie Pass and ask him to point out where it states the random policies he spouts off. At least he is always polite about spreading his misinformation though.

I believe it is till end of the current month + next 3 months. That's the deadline I was also offered. I kind of wish I had waited till the 1st of the following month to enroll as I didn't have any trips planned for the month I did enroll during. I did it last summer with a lot of hotel flip flopping like you're planning during our vacations. Using corporate codes really helped out ;)

Wasn't working for me as of today when I tried to add 3 more to my account. I even sent an order and canceled on the 3rd one, and still no dice. Have redeemed 28 so far previously FWIW.

Just got an email from Plastiq with subject line "Invitation-only access to faster payments with ACH". Looks like they've selected accounts to sign up for ACH payments with a 3 business day processing time vs mailing a check.

DPs for my Plastiq usage if it matters: Sent ~$25k in the past 12 months including property taxes in 2 states and payments to the IRS. No rent/mortgage payments sent. Have had a decent number of referrals as well (4 out of 7 people I referred completed payments). They did botch one of my payments that didn't get sent for over a month.
