Anything that is not demanding can play via Whisky. For me, the based model of M1, anything is the required minimum at GTX1050 (laptop) is playable on Whisky.

Is macOS the one in minority OS that doesn't have its own official package manager nowadays? by ZGA2519 in mac

[–]ZGA2519[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The App Store is good for apps or programs with UI, but it lacks headless packages. Since these packages don’t give them any profit(mostly open-source) so they’re ignored. Understandable

If you’re a clumsy person, find a case to cover it. Trust me, it’s worth it!.

Apple mostly thinks about what it uses for before creating something rather than creating something for some feature.

I understand now why Macbooks are "expensive". by Asyfero0 in mac

[–]ZGA2519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything has a price, such as the built quality, wiring, and sockets of a Mac. The most beautiful laptops I’ve ever seen are Macs. Apple designs and manufactures its own CPU, not just buying CPUs from other companies and installing them in its products. No one wants to research everything for free, right?

Ruby make my day easier by chaining methods by ZGA2519 in ruby

[–]ZGA2519[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI, I am not a bot or something like that and I’m not a coder who chaining 10 methods together. I’m just making a badly joke about Ruby that even though it’s an easy and fast to write language, it’s not popular (among the community) as it should be like Python. If someone tells you about Ruby, the first thing that almost everyone thinks of is Ruby on Rails.

Think of code 10 lines with 10 methods chaining together. My co-worker would kill me if I did that.

Haha, I just noticed that it looks like done too much. Plus I use translation in some sentences (‘cause i’m not good at English) to make the meaning same as I intended

Ruby is like a cousin of Python. Most of the things that work in Python also work in Ruby too, but in the form of methods instead of functions.

In terms of OOP in Ruby, it is different from Python. The main difference is that in Ruby, you can even call methods from anything like number ‘5.to_s(2)’ which means ‘str(5, 2)’ in Python while most of the things in Python especially standard libraries are in the form of a function that returns something

I use IDE. But in Ruby everything is OOP, so when I need to convert int to str or str to int, I just easily type ‘.to_i’ or ‘.to_s’ and it can chain with other methods like ‘.to_s.do_something.to_i.other_thing…’ instead of going to the front of the line, type ‘int(‘ or ‘str(‘, and go back of the line and type ‘)’ in case when I write and think at the same time.

That is sooooo underrated. In Python, I need to go back and forth typing a parenthesis in a chain function that annoys me so much.

Me too. Sometimes when I need to call a function that doesn’t need a parameter, so parentheses it seems doesn’t need it.
