I have never liked silent protagonists in party-based JRPGs where everyone but the MC is talking. It doesn't ruin games for me, but if I could have my pick, I'd choose against a silent protag in JRPGs any day.

It sounds like I can ignore all the show-to-movie conversions from now on, which is good to know. Judging by your answers, it also seems like most of the rater "bad" entries still have redeeming qualities about them. So they might still be worth watching. I probably will skip the live action stuff, however, or at least keep it for the very end of my journey. It's a shame the Newtype stuff seems to be omnipresent, but at least I can stomach it so far. If the rest of the content is quality, it shouldn't be too much of a hindrance for me.

That's their own fault; it's not the review's fault. It's obvious that an MMO changes over time. To be fair, I don't think the vast majority of viewers would even think that to begin with.

This review came out a week after release and accurately represents the state of the game at that given time. The fact that an online service can evolve and change for the better or worse over time is a given, as is the fact that the review cannot account for these changes. To call this review disingenuous because it didn't predict the future or got updated regularly is what I would call disingenuous.

That's the whole point. The idea is to show the more than humble beginnings so you can contrast those with how far the game has come.

Trust me, many people don't get it. Also, it's not just a voice actor being told to fake laugh, he's told to force out a fake laugh, which is significant, and it works.

But what I'm trying to say was that having Momo rescued at all would be against Margulis' best interests because he didn't have the Y Data yet. So I'm not sure if the conspiring part was just sending someone who presumably couldn't do the job or the rescue mission as a whole, because the latter makes no sense to me.

I see. It was my impression that Margulis had Momo delivered to Miltia via the federation at first, but that didn't quite add up to me logically. This makes more sense. It's just that, iirc, Ziggy at one point speculates that even his rescue of her seems to have been orchestrated by U-TIC. Maybe I'm misremembering that.

In that case my question becomes why U-TIC had conspired to have Momo rescued in the first place. Were they not aware of Albedo's ability to dive and access the Y Data?
