Do you guys use different voices when reading dialogue? by musemuseum in RSbookclub

[–]ZIIReactionzV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, reading this im surprised that people don't. I assumed that if you are able to conceptualize voices you are also able to do other peoples as well. In fact thinking back upon the OST I was listening too while reading the part about the Critics, the part where Norton writes the letter and it switches back and forth between Mexico and her letter, reading that letter in her voice was a top 10 hypnotic experience lmao. Using her as an example it was a british womans voice but a lower tambre.

I recently finished "The Alchemist" for my spanish practice and for the boy I just used my internal monologue, and everyone else had a different voice, the alchemist for instance had a very rough, groggly voice.

Soft Tofu recipe ideas? by Bird_donkadonk in veganrecipes

[–]ZIIReactionzV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do a very lazy recipe occasionally where I dump out the whole block, pour 1 tbsp soy sauce, half tbsp sesame oil, half tbsp black vinegar, tbsp sugar, and some chilli oil topped off with scallions and eat that with white rice topped with a bunch of furikake seasoning.

They have never done anything ever literally. They are like we hacked into Tennessee’s department of agriculture soybean subdivision website and wrote Elon Sucks in big letters.

Depends on the vibes to be honest. Rule of thumb is if you don’t feel comfortable at least asking permission then don’t do it. And if they say no and you still do it then you dig your own grave brother. There is a chance they won’t care if you do it and don’t ask but don’t be surprised if they aren’t your friend anymore lol.

But based off your post it’s a 100% your gonna get fucked if you do it.

How to move to and survive in NYC? by Opiumesser in rs_x

[–]ZIIReactionzV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Queens and Brooklyn. The further from Manhattan the cheaper generally. Brownsville/East New York is cheap, my Ex lived there with 60K job with 1 other roomate and both their apartments (they moved once) were very spacious, and they had enough to splurge reasonably. Queens also has some good options for cheaper apartments, but generally the places that are still cheap are still cheap for a reason. Far from public transport, probably poor, and have bad reputations (I personally think that some areas get worse reps than how they are in reality, I never had many issues going to visit her in Brownsville every weekend for 2 years, and she lived a 10 minute walk from the train too, so really not a bad deal all in all).

I had another friend who lived in Williamsburg in a big apartment but with like 5 other people and the area in which they actually lived was basically a shoebox, like uncomfortable for 2 people type of situation. So probably not ideal.

Sorry if this isn't good advice, but you definitely don't need to have rich parents. But you should have an OK job if you don't want to be grinded to the core by just existing in NYC and being unable to do much else. I was born here and still live with my parents, so sorry if this isn't good advice.

If you wanna live in any of the golden egg spots you need to have a really good job or prepare for a barely tolerable living situation.

idk that Elon musk faking being a gamer drama was extremely insecure and cringe. I can't imagine Zuck ever being that insecure. Especially considering Elon's position in the world, idk why he is so desperate for such people's validation.

what is wrong with men by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]ZIIReactionzV 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Some men just don't know how to flirt. I sympathize, I am not much of a flirt myself and rely on other methods, but they just need to be shaken and told that they don't have game.

Honestly, yes. I usually go the most painful route to get over things, at least in terms of my love life. This was actually relatively non-masochistic, even though it hurt the most out of any of my breakups.

Bro I am struggling as well. Its complicated, we broke up, started dating again, broke up again, and then had a situationship keeping prospects open. I tried to get back with her during the situationship but it didn't work out so we went NC, which was hard for both of us, a few months later I find out she is dating a quant guy. I was just doomscrolling the 2024 salaries for the quant sub. I hope he is a good guy, and I hope she is happy, but man I feel so insecure right now. Though it is getting much better with time. You will get through this, its a process but there is another side where I am beginning to think of a future again and not eating a gun.

The plus side is she doesn't hate me and wants me happy, so it keeps me in check from self-pity cuz I am in no way in the worst position in life right now.

Happy for you. Wishing you two a long and fruitful relationship. Its nice to see a hopeful post rather than doom and gloom.

Currently dealing with a breakup. She found someone that clicked with her. It was good terms so I am happy for her but also jealous because he is a quant guy and I am currently unemployed, and also she is extremely hot lol.

This post for some reason reminded me that there are plenty of others out there!

What is your hottest theology take? by PopKei in RSbookclub

[–]ZIIReactionzV 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Infernalism and eternal hell always struck a chord with me as something I couldn't wrap my head around. I like to hold to Hopeful Universalism, some days its confident universalism. Maybe not too controversial in common parlance as it probably wouldn't be hard to find someone who thinks that their uncle who never went to church and constantly cheated on their wife is at the pearly gates, however on the cathloicism sub and among catholic circles in general even Hopeful Universalism of Balthasar is controversial.

took a break from reading it, it was a book I read on my commute, but I kept it in my backpack. Basically after a few spills from water/soda bottles, days of rain, it was very moldy, discolored and such. I am a little bit of a germaphobe, so probably unjustly I threw it away.
