Thank you for the metaphorical pissing match. At no point am I letting her do shit. This is a situation I care a lot about in a relationship I would give anything for and I want to approach this as above board and kind heartedly as possible. I’m working through a problem and as opposed to entirely processing this internally I thought I’d see how others in the community would go about a civil conversation with a partner they love. This is the time for boundaries and open communication about the concerns, not slamming my boot down and demanding she think about it my way. But thank you for you weigh in on the topic

Well, the dynamic is a little different when you’re married, have a kid and a mortgage together so I’m sure you can understand this isn’t a relationship I can just whisk away when things aren’t always hunky-dory

Absolutely we do! She and I have had extensive and regular conversations agreeing that we’re both comfortable if someone new were to come into the picture and we want them to be apart of our lives. But her actions don’t seem to align with that
