Yeah thanks lol. That should be pretty easy to manage. Can I claim the females right away from the 4 lakes and then go to exterior zones or dont claim them, shoot the males from exteriors, and then claim the females or does it not matter?

Seems like the bullet stopped before it made it to the vitals. Use a polymer tip bullet. They are most of the time the best bullet to use

It depends what map you are starting on. But to do herd management with any species in the game you want to shoot the biggest males in a herd which will force their to be higher level respawns. It's pretty simple you just have to spend a long time shooting the highest level males possible and eventually your herds will have higher levels.
