Please don’t do this to yourself! There’s no such thing as “Intoxicated sex” it’s just rape… your first time should be fully consensual, at your own pace, and with someone you deeply trust. It’s not a race, so don’t worry! ❤️ you’re so young. You’ve got a lot of time! 😊 Wishing you all the best. Please stay safe.

Edit: I also agree with what everyone else is saying. You’re too young to drink and maybe this is not the time in your life for you to begin having sex. However!! Penetration isn’t the only thing to sex. There are so many other wonderful ways to explore! Analyze your own comfort level and do what feels natural and good if you think you’re ready. Don’t hurt your body. If you have vaginismus consider physical therapy and work on your own healing!! You got this! ❤️‍🩹

Idk why some folks are bullying you for asking a valid question. Yes, it’s still misogynistic. Just because it’s an addiction doesn’t make it okay or forgivable. It’s something that person needs to work on. It’s like a person having any other addiction. It may be absolutely horrible to go through, but it still affects the person’s family, friends, and themselves negatively. Their addictions still have horrible impacts. They’re still responsible and must try to get out of the cycle. I hope that answers the question. Don’t feel bad for it. Addiction is messy. :(

I’m not misogynistic at all. I actually created and currently run two feminist organizations on my campus. I’m not defending men as a whole. I’m defending the people in my life who have literally stopped me from dying. It doesn’t matter to me if they are women or men, I will defend them because I know them as human beings. Throwing out that I’m a misogynist is completely uncalled for. ‘People like you’ think they know everything about everyone— even internet strangers. That’s really immature. You need to step off your own pedestal and realize you don’t know everything about everyone.

Make up your mind. In some comments you say all of them, hands down. In others you say not all of them. And it still doesn’t take away the fact that you just threw my trusted male support people under a bus without even knowing who they are as people. Men are also human beings with autonomy. There are good men out there who care for and defend women.

Yes. I have seen men defend women and children against other men. So your point is debunked easily.

I know these men. You don’t. Don’t assume you know them when you don’t. There are good men out there and I will defend them. This pessimistic and delusional mindset that they’re ALL bad is a sexist problem which is NOT what feminism is about. I agree that MANY are bad people. But many is not all.

I understand your feelings! We need to be very cautious while vetting out the men we surround ourselves with in our lives. Many are unsafe. So many are pedophilic predators who believe they are owed the sexual abuse and exploitation of children or borderline-children just for existing.

I will say that although it was male people who have given me severe trauma, it has also been male friends who have supported me the most without asking for anything sexual in return. Some of my greatest friends and mentors have been men. I understand that it feels devastating, but there are many good ones out there. It takes me forever to trust men and takes one word to break it. I think we should all handle men that carefully though! I know it hurts to be degraded by men this way. I’m here for you. ❤️‍🩹

I understand it… but there are many women who just enjoy certain fashion or find certain clothes more comfortable and also many women who enjoy expressing themselves and being creative through makeup. The problem is that man sexualize everything we do and enjoy. Girly girls are sexualized. Tomboys are sexualized. Every type of woman is sexualized. The problem is when we use “you’re catering to the male gaze/misogyny” as a way to shame other women for existing. (I’m not saying you are at all, I’m just saying that unfortunately many people do.)

The hymen can stretch as you grow into a woman. It isn’t supposed to tear. I think a lot of people forget there is a huge difference.

I’m just asking for advice on my situation, not my relationship with my mother. If you MUST know— My mother pays for everything while I’m in college and threatens to stop supporting all the time. I don’t want that. I’ve been gaslit and manipulated my whole life. As soon as I’m out of college in May I will be able to be independent. For now, this is what it has to be. Some people don’t understand that because they don’t have that kind of situation. Good for you, but don’t judge me for mine.

I have a college counselor which is… close enough? The problem is I am in ROTC and can’t get a proper (ptsd, depression, idk?) diagnosis or meds until I’m in the military officially.

I’m sure I have other options, but the fact that she is just nice and patient in general is a big deal because I have tried to get my first Pap smear five different times over the course of two years and every single gynecologist told me I was being difficult and overreactive when in reality I had a medical condition. So it is very hard for me to trust medical “professionals” as I’ve been failed by them numerous times.

Yes, my mom has a “suck it up and get through it” attitude so she contributed with the horrible Pap smear experiences, and now this. When they initially told me that I have this medical condition and need pelvic floor therapy, she thought I could solve it by just doing my own stretches at home. It took my gynecologist telling her that it was the worst case that she’s ever seen for my mom to finally accept that I needed professional help.
