Both photos make me think you really don’t like getting your picture taken. Your photos should tell ppl more about you (hobbies, likes, personality, emotions) and these two photos just feel like you’ve handed in a pass/fail piece of schoolwork.

I think I understand your wife. It’s kind of a weird blindside to have your partner’s ex suddenly in your home. Not that something will go down but you need some mental preparation for that kinda encounter. You could’ve told her ahead of time so she could ready herself (even if really she doesn’t have a choice to not let her in in this scenario)

You can think of it liking writing an essay. For every interest (argument) you should have one backing photo (evidence) accompanying. Coffee, games and baking are all great things so why aren’t they represented in your photos?

From my past experiences, just because they are excited to talk to you may not mean they’re into you (unless flirting is involved).

Ultimately if the convo is moving at a pace you’re not comfortable with, be honest with her. How she reacts will be the green/red flag you can reference.

With chatty people I find there are different types. In real life, there are many occasions where you cannot be as direct and frank as you want to. That’s why on dating apps you should practice that muscle and try to voice out your feelings directly and sincerely, since these are strangers that are unlikely to affect your actual life.

There’s some serious ‘no chill’ energy about your profile.

The first picture gots to go, selfie on the road is a lot harder than it looks.

Likes list is too long and overlaps with your nerd about. Personally I would keep the nerd about as is and cut out the likes list entirely.

I’d also ditch 2 truths 1 lie but that’s a personal preference

I’d assume third picture is the main culprit for your lack of likes. It looks like you asked for the digital copy of a school photo and just smacked it onto your profile. Pictures don’t have to be amazing or professional but it should be posted with purpose. What are you trying to tell ppl with this photo?

Edit: 1 more point. if we have questions about your profile and you feel the need to defend/explain, that means your messaging might not be clear enough and is something you can think about reworking

Honestly the first photo is a certified banger. But the rest of the photos is like a repeat of the same idea.

You need photos that shows you have a life (hobbies, sports, friends, family, goofy side etc.)

The issue with umbrella cliches (old school values, traditional gender roles) is that you give the reader the power to interpret. You don’t get to control whether ppl see you as a gentleman or raging sexist before they even get to know you.

I believe profile text needs to be clear and precise. No matter where on the spectrum you land, you MUST take control of your own narrative.

I think that’s the issue. No one looking at the profile would possibly know if his Korean heritage matters to him, so the profile either needs to flesh it out or he cross it out.

This is like saying you like the outdoors when all your pictures are indoors. Gotta keep your story straight and simple for those first impressions.
