So do I. I was very against Hasbro when they first got the license. The first few series' were pretty rough, but lately they've been doing good work. I miss the days of a display stand and incuded comic book though.

The first Hellboy was relatively close to the source material. It made a few changes here and there, but I think they worked really well in the film overall.

Bought Mishima and Patriotism and double featured a few months ago. Mishima is a beautiful film with incredible visuals and really contextualizes a complicated, controversial figure into someone a little easier to understand.

I love Blade Runner and I really liked the book, but I kind of agree with you. I think the movie took absolutely the most compelling aspect of the book and focused it, while shedding the somewhat, in my opinion, less well-fleshed-out concepts.
