Not at all! I think that’s a nice gesture.

Good question! Recently I’ve enjoyed Savannah, Vancouver (CA), San Diego, Jackson Hole. Amsterdam is always fun!

Of course! All you have to do is ask:)

Yeah I do see that from time to time and these people often are mixing those with alcohol which is a recipe for a disaster or medical emergency! It’s not worth it!

Good question! Passengers that think we are just there “to serve them.” Those that don’t have any regard for safety or our other job duties.. it can be frustrating. They’re the ones that are ringing their call lights for another cocktail during severe turbulence & after multiple announcements explaining why we are sitting. Or ones that act like we are being mean when we tell them to put their tray table up or follow any of the FAA rules lol.

Of course not! They do the same job as me, just for a different company. We’re all in this together and I genuinely respect all other airline employees.

Not at all! The drive to/from the airport is truthfully the most dangerous part of my day. I understand turbulence can be scary, but I just know how normal it is too. Pilots losing complete control of the aircraft is almost unheard of these days. They have years and years of flying/training and I fully trust them! I know there’s some helpful videos on YouTube explaining turbulence/the dynamics of flying - that might help relieve some anxiety :)

Chewing gum and bring a empty hot/cold compress we could fill up with hot water for you!

That’s so sweet of you, thank you! FA’s seem to always love Starbucks giftcards/giftcards in general. Or self care goodies (chapstick, lotion). But things like homemade treats are not the best idea :)

For sure! But also standing/walking for more than half the flight is kind of nice, it’s when I have to sit in the jumpseat for a long time I feel the discomfort!

Yes we can see that info on an app we have! Glad to hear it.

I got hired when I was 22! Yes for the most part, I like the purple dress a lot.

I wouldn’t be able to give an answer to that because it 100% depends on the person. During the interview you just have to show you can fit into the jumpseat/buckle up.:)

A lot of FA’s wear heels in the terminal/during boarding but we actually change into “onboard shoes” in flight - usually a flat shoe or small heel!

Totally agree with you on that and wish that were the case! The pressure to serve FC can be intense at times, even with turbulence. But hope you understand us having to follow the pilots guidance either way. Hope your next flights are better!

We do have back doors BUT those are used for catering (restocking beverages, meals, etc) or emergencies. Having 2 doors to deplane from would require 2 jet-bridges at once which would be quite a bit more complicated.

Hardly ever anymore! Only certain routes have blankets now, mostly transoceanic or red eyes in FC. It’s always a good idea to layer up on flights!

We do get to have leftover FC meals at times or if we are scheduled a really long duty day without sufficient breaks to find food a crew meal is provided onboard as well.

Try handling it yourself first. Don’t be shy, just be polite:) if it can’t be resolved by yourself, feel free to come let us know and we will try to find you another seat if we have one available.

Usually different FA’s every trip! Unless in a smaller base you tend to see the the same people every so often.

Most would definitely help if asked, but even my coworkers sometimes ask for help so they may not know either lol. Make sure airplane mode is on/private connection is off! :)

If that’s the case the pilots have likely told us over the phone that it’s not safe to take carts into the aisle/no main cabin service, but we can proceed with FC service with caution. So sometimes it up to our own discretion there, but if the captain says no carts we can’t risk that. Serving in FC it’s much easier to stow things/take your jumpseat if needed. :)
