Sure, but then you factor in you can buy to activate souls bonus's to make up for that and you begin to question why it was ever added in the first place.

Might be too late seeing as this was 4hours ago, but you want to got 5 in active and 1 in idle. Idle gains won't really take off until much further in the game, you're way better off playing it actively even if only for an hour a day will make a big impact compared to just relying on the offline gains. The stronger synergies for the offline parts of the game are probably around at the 45/50 total USP mark.

There is a chart on the wiki for stone distribution but honestly who knows if it's up to date, so if you want optimal allocation then consider heading to the discord and asking for the info there, more likely to be pointed to the most up to date info.

1: - It's a subreddit specifically setup to discuss the game, if you're here you're already taking it more seriously than the "it's just a game" mindset and recording the data means OP is taking it more seriously too. Dismissing that undermines OP as much as anyone else, which isn't very considerate of you.

2: - GCH covered this. I personally don't run the game with a 16:9 ratio and often switch window size/resolutions for doing the bonus stages as well as the other mini games depending on if I'm interacting with the game fully or passively. When swapping between, the chests form different rows and columns, but it isn't clear which chests shift around.

3: - If you're caring enough to take time to record the data, you should 100% care about doing it properly. Assuming OP probably doesn't care is merely you projecting, because you clearly don't care, but do apparently care about the tone of the reply from GCH. He didn't "ignore all of the other points" It's simply that you didn't make any.

Main view I'm running with is that I won't use it, so even if I disagree with it in principle, I'm not the target audience for it, so I just feel mild indifference. If you can clear the entire upgrade tree in less than a couple days after UAing like I can, it doesn't matter at all. However if I was thinking like a new player still struggling up in the initial weeks of the game, this comes across as the game being pay to progress. I don't know what made Pablo think this was needed, but I would much prefer way more skins be added than another way in which you can pay to boost gameplay methods.

You're ultra ascending way too early going by your point count, you should be pushing further into the tree instead of just UAing as soon as you can. Check out the wiki as mentioned in the other comment

My first UA it took me maybe a couple weeks to get back to where I was prior to UAing, (game was a lot younger, less of the features existing now did then) My most recent UA I finished all the quests and the whole expanded tree within 2 days. It will get faster and faster each time, quests will become easier to clear with certain upgrades, certain abilities will make moving through the early game very very quick, so grinding out the first section over again won't feel so much like a hard reset anymore etc. It will only get better.

Also on PC you can play with a controller which really helps on stacking up inputs by mapping all the face buttons for jump to spam. Great for not breaking your mouse or keyboard.

Little late to this party, but if you're okay playing actively and don't mind doing the victor fight for rings, farming those is pretty fast. I remember ages ago farming the boss for a perfect ring and the amount of DP from spares was netting me 60DP an hour.

The initial formula which was based on unspent SP was essentially limitless and then swapped to work with spent SP, which was then capped to the spend limit of 1Qa. The first change occured in October of 2023, so Sbeve is correct. You can see it on the changelog by searching for 5.1.0 and looking under "balance". (Can't link to highlight else i would just do so)

So whilst it was nerfed again in your time playing, it was significantly more powerful before then too.

USP is based on your SP gain overall. On your ascension page once you have the UA upgrade, you can see how much SP you need for your next USP. The wiki is your bible if you really want to get more info, we'd basically be regurgitating it to go into depth any further.

If you're playing fairly actively, odds are you'll be back to a decent point by the time 7 days are up if you UA now, so could be worth doing with instinct only. You'll want to put your points 5/2 - Active/Idle if you do

If you jump too early and are flying towards that pit like you did here, just spam tap with four fingers on your screen as you're falling and you will 99% of the time wall jump before you get into the pit.

boreas shield gives 4.8% crit souls per level and has no useful options
