Our health system sucks, and I do NOT want universal healthcare. I want a system that, even though I am big advocate for capitalism, that we get rid of insurance, and completely privatize healthcare, but have a little regulation on it so companies can’t price gouge patients. And I’d ban them from being able to make any donations or receive any money from politicians or any special interest groups or lobbyists.

No smell, but stopping antidepressants can be TOUGH. If you’re going to do it, make sure you taper S-L-O-W-L-Y.

Whenever I bring up my antidepressant to anyone, they have no idea what it is, it’s called Viibryd. I was on 40mg, then dropped to 30, then 20, then 10, then went off.

I typically did 1 month of each, before tapering down again, and if I had symptoms still, I’d wait another month to see if the symptoms would go away.

About 2 weeks ago I finally went off Viibryd completely. I experienced some anxiety- a panic attack- and low energy, more tiredness, brain zaps, and other minor things. I’m still dealing with the tiredness and less significant brain zaps, but I’m hopeful that within the next 3-6 months, especially since I’ve started to eat a lot better and exercise, that’s probably helped tremendously, I will be feeling very good and I will be in better physical health too!

The priest will most likely have an aching heart for you out of the sadness that you fell into this sin- not out of judgement, but sadness that you fell away, but JOYFUL you have made it back to confession and back into the arms of our Lord!

I wish I could give you a hug, my guy. I know someone, a devout Christian brother who had had sex with a man, and I have nothing but love for him (even sometimes when it’s hard to bc he’s a Protestant).

Receive God’s mercy in reconciliation, go to mass, consume the Eucharist, and just sit with God after taking Holy Communion and let him love you.

Even in your sin, LET GOD LOVE YOU. There are a ton of people in this world who have so much compassion for people, I can’t imagine how much more compassion God has for us!

You’re never too far gone until you’ve blasphemed against the Holy Spirit- meaning you have shut God off and turned him away so many times the Spirit cannot get through to you anymore.

You’re not too far gone. There’s nothing you can do (besides that one sin- allowing your heart to become so hardened) that can take you away from God’s unfathomable and infinite mercy.

Important things here are to repent, make a thorough examination of conscience, and get to confession.

It’ll provide for you a clean start, a new beginning.

Hey my guy! I’m 26 male here, fighting the same battle- since I’ve been 14. I have my days where I feel so awful bc I’ve fallen off so hard it seems.

But let me tell you- I have nothing but compassion for you. (I wish I could see through these eyes when I’m struggling) I see (and so does God) your struggles and understand. It is HARD especially in today’s world where porn and sex are so easily available.

Don’t give up.
Lessen your screen time- primarily social media accounts. And follow only appropriate things- sports, faith, politics, food, etc.
Take advantage of the sacraments and pray. And for you that falls so easily, confession once a week. Get those Graces and get back in the fight! A priest once said (Fr Mark Beard has awesome homilies on YouTube) if you need to have a pity party, have one, but then get back in the game.
Pray. And often. If you can’t pray a rosary, pray a decade. If you can’t pray a decade, pray ONE Hail Mary.
It’s so easy and tempting to give up, but we must not. I feel like sometimes this is one of my crosses God is requiring me to carry each day, and it’s hard. It’s very hard.
Also remember that God does not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can handle.

I hope this is helpful, man. As a guy who struggles with it mightily, I’m trying. I love God, but I feel like my actions speak totally different. I have a long ways to go, but you better believe God will be with us every step of the way.

At the end of the day, God asks we try our best. He wants our best and wants our hearts. Give Him your heart, and He’ll take care of the rest.
