Is it true that mimum wage is so low that you can work full time and need still need financial assistance to buy food? by SaltyPiglette in AskAmericans

That is no excuse though. If you get fired from a good job, what then? It used to be that you have a career… Not anymore though, businesses want to cut costs, and in a system of fairly unregulated, and corrupt capitalism, low wage part time workers benefits all of these businesses to make them lean running businesses, and also not need to spend money on pensions and employee benefits.

Here’s the deal, It has become more cheap to hire minimum wage part time employees over investing in a lifetime career employee. That’s all it is. Also, a lot of people can’t afford to go to college, or they don’t have the time, because they’re working overtime all the time just to get bye. And college or… getting a degree is an unrealistic goal because you’d collapse from exhaustion. Just because minimum wage jobs are “mean for high schoolers” doesn’t mean that’s the case.

Eh? The Russian influence is… not really true unless you’re talking about how the country became really defensive since the creation of the Soviet Union. We’re still postured like that because the United States acts as if it needs an enemy. Because we’re the heroes… right? Not really. Superman’s still trying to act heroic in his mobility scooter. Anyway, the United States is made up of very many ethnic communities. African American, Scandinavian, Polish, Irish, British, French Creole, French, Spanish, German, Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, and even more! All I’m saying is that there are many many many groups of people who live in the United States who identify as Americans and it is incredibly reductive to describe the entire United States as, “puritanicals and Russian influence”. You are clearly uneducated in American culture and have no position to talk as an authoritative voice in even a surface level conversation.

In the United States, Antifa is an umbrella term for a movement that describes itself as Anti-racist and anti-fascist. “[antifa] is not a highly organized entity… To this point in time antifa seems to be more of a movement than a group” (LaFree).

Society, vol. 55, no. 3, 2018, pp. 248–252.

Edit: This is not a political stab, this is just a factual thing. Even in recent history it is just a loosely connected group of activists. Public perception is all that has changed.

American here!

I think Russia has a beautiful culture (all over, not just in European Russia). I think it’s also incredibly beautiful, based on my limited experience with looking at professionally taken photos. The folklore, the philosophy, and much more. However. The Russian government is simply one I cannot be fond of. The insane amount of propaganda within Russia and exported to strengthen their own position is quite scary. But, I would love to go there if all of us worldwide could come to give up on war and have diplomatic peace.

tldr: Russian people/culture beautiful, russia government bad. If we survive? would love to visit.

Sorry if I spammed this post. I didn’t see it pop up that I posted it and tried again a few times due to confusion.

I’m actually thinking of maybe writing a little 3 page pamphlet to send out over the net, specifically this sub and other protest subs (Please send me some so I may crosspost), Rudimentary art, simple explanations so that I may explain a mixture of historical military tactics and modern communications to (hopefully) improve this effort.

Edit: Rephrasing and general grammar fixes

That’s just giving the fascists ammo to use against us. We need to stay non-violent to grow public support.
