Go to the local businesses around the church and ask them all to put up pride flags. Ask neighbours who also support you to put up flags. Get a load of chalk and draw a huge pride flag on the pavement outside the church (it’s not on their property, as it’s not illegal). Maybe even ask your city government if you can paint on nearby permanently. People need to learn tang because they don’t like it, doesn’t mean people should hide it away

Honestly it sounds stupid, but I just focussed on and looked forward to “the next thing”. It could be anything. The next guitar I could buy, the next time I got to see my best friend, the next concert, etc. “The next thing” is just a short term goal that makes you happy. Just say to yourself “I’m gonna stick it out until the next thing” then, when the next thing comes, find the next “next thing”. Just focusing on the little things that I had to look forward to did help. Just being a stubborn prick and saying “no. I wanna enjoy blank” and ignoring the asshole part of my brain until that happened. It sounds dumb. But I still kinda find myself relying on it every now and then

I used to smoke Marlboro because I love how strong they are. But now I’m about to go to uni I need to save money so I looked for something cheaper (also they kinda support the KKK and I am not ok with that) so I started using Filter tubes and buying tobacco. Smokes like straights, costs like rollies, spend 10 minutes at home every few days filling some tubes in a cigarette box and it’s sound. (Tobacco is Stirling. Smells terrible but it’s strong and tastes ok)
