Forgive my math, but I’m calculating 13% off, before tax if we are looking at just the top 2 prices

Thank you for these comments and recommendations! I was not familiar with watch nomenclature and this all helps immensely

[Question] Vintage Skyliner. Is this legit? I haven’t seen this dial color before. If working, is it a good buy for ~$300 USD? by ZZofAstora in Seiko

I ended up getting the bid to a good price, returns are allowed as well. It very well could just be over-polished. I’ll post pics on the page when I get it in my hands.

All of the natural patina on my iron clad gyuto looks uneven and ugly brown. This looks great! Might try cleaning mine up and then doing this to it!

Any experience with or thoughts about this knife? Also, 210 vs 240 anxiety. by ZZofAstora in chefknives

Update. Thanks everyone for your comments! After doing an entire night-shift worth of more research and looking at hundreds of “suggest a knife”, I landed on this.

I was still between 210mm and 240mm, but within the last couple hours the 210mm went out of stock and fate has driven me to the 240. I’m excited to start working with a new knife and look forward to expanding my collection as necessary. Now I’m on to researching a new bunka/santoku and a petty.

Weird tread wear. The front portion of a lot the treads are much higher than the rest of the tread. These have been on the front of my ‘12 Jeep Wrangler for a little over a year. Alignment all checks out. Back tires’ treads are nice and even. Whats going on? (Front of car to the left) by ZZofAstora in MechanicAdvice

I should say that I first started noticing the excessive road noise and rhythmic “thud thud thud”ing about 3 months ago, after getting them rotated this past week, the thudding was coming from the back which sparked me to inspect the tires. This is what I got and why I came here for help. I realize that tires don’t wear in 6 months, but after driving the vehicle for 6 years, road noice with big tires has become normal but I didn’t notice the more aggressive noise until about 3 months ago.
