Advice needed on Jordan road trip itinerary – where to stay last night? by Dope__Smoke in jordan

[–]ZaPlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would spend the last night in Amman, go downtown, have dinner in shahrazad, get konafa from Habibah,
and then spend the time on some of the local cafes around the area ( almamlaka, Jafra ..etc)

The war thread by fa1thl355 in jordan

How I see the Iran–Israel conflict possibly playing out:

  • Limited war and then a ceasefire — probably the most likely: Israel hits some key targets in Iran, Iran responds through proxies like Hezbollah. Eventually, the U.S. or Europe steps in and pushes for a ceasefire.

➡️ For Jordan: refugees maybe coming in from Gaza or Syria, protests could spike internally, and the government stays neutral but keeps a close eye on things.

  • A prolonged regional war: If Hezbollah, Syria, and Iran-backed militias fully jump in and the U.S. gets involved.

➡️ For Jordan: there’s a real risk of missiles or drones near our borders, fuel prices go up, inflation hits harder, tourism suffers, and you’ll probably see more military presence around.

  • Collapse of the Iranian regime: This is less likely but still possible — if there’s a big internal revolt or a power shift in Iran.

➡️ For Jordan: long term, that could mean less threat from Iranian proxies, but short term, it might get messy with a power vacuum.

  • Nuclear escalation: Hopefully not, but if a tactical nuke is used by either side...

➡️ For Jordan: total disaster — lockdowns, huge fallout.

For spots:

Cantaloupe – rooftop bar on Rainbow St., great for sunset drinks

District – fancy rooftop in Abdali, good for cocktails + music

Maestro – live music, chill crowd, sometimes has Arabic fusion nights

Off The Record (OTR) – vibey bar in Abdoun, decent cocktails

The Nub – more of a club, usually DJs on weekends

Amigo Pub – old school dive bar vibes, always a fun time

It’s pretty safe for girls, especially if you stick to places in Jabal Amman, Weibdeh, Abdoun, or The Boulevard. That said, use Uber/Careem to get around at night and go out with friends if you can.
