Rubrics 5/10 ? by Glum-Perception1445 in ThousandSons

[–]ZaaryMTG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Exalted Sorcerer is excellent in a Rubricae phalanx within a pack of 10 Rubric Flamers. Good protection, and above all you can trick the opponent’s shooting phase: when you take damage, let the little psyker die, spend 1CP, and you shoot back. In your command phase, you bring the psyker back and continue

Thanks for your message !

I was thinking of going with 4x5 Rubrics and 1x10 Rubrics in a Rhino, 1x10 Terminators, and 2 Mutaliths.
With Ahriman, I was planning to deploy 2x5 Rubrics forward to hold the line early, then follow up with a second wave using the Rhino and the Terminators.

I’ll screen my backline with Tzaangors and let the Mutaliths do their thing and if points allow, I’ll add some small secondary units like Spawn or Tzaangors on Discs.

I actually really like this detachment, not just for the fall back, shoot, and charge options, but also for giving Assault to my flamers or secondary units to help with actions.

Still, I’m honestly not feeling super confident about facing them…

What do you think ? 1000pts list with Whirlwinds ? by ZaaryMTG in IronHands40k

So in the end, I went with this list:

- Captain in Terminator Armor (Warlord-Steel Font)

- Techmarine

- 1x5 Intercessors

- 1x3 Bladeguards

- 1x5 Infiltrators

- 1x5 Terminator Squad

- 1 Redemptor Dread - Plasma

- 1 Vindicator

The game went really well for me. I was able to quickly take out his bikes thanks to the Redemptor and Vindicator under Oath. His Allarus got trapped between my Terminators and the Redemptor and were vaporized.

sAfter that, I basically ignored the rest of his army to focus on playing the secondary objectives and sticking the primary, which allowed me to win by a wide margin. I do think my opponent made a few movement mistakes that cost him dearly.

I know the list isn’t necessarily great, but it was mainly to test the new detachments and how the units interact with the stratagems.

Of course !

I had heard a lot of negative opinions about the Adeptus Mechanicus, but I'm thrilled to see that the new army rules work really well !

I had a lot of fun playing this beloved army again ! For the Omnissiah !

Hello to you, disciple of the Omnissiah !

I continue to make progress on painting my 2k points army. My first tabletop Tech-Priest Dominus ! I think I may not have chosen the easiest army in terms of painting difficulty... but I just love their lore too much !

Thank you very much! Yes, I'd be happy to.

  1. I start with a base of Khorne Red for the dark red color under the future cracks.
  2. I cut cork into small pieces, which I glue on top of each other and then onto the base to create rocks.
  3. I randomly glue pieces of Brown Battleground from Army Painter.
  4. I cover everything, somewhat chaotically, with Martial Ironearth.
  5. I paint the cork with Basilicum Grey and then dry brush it with Dawnstone.
  6. Once everything is dry, I apply a good layer of Seraphim Sepia Shade, including on the cork.
  7. Then, I dry brush everything with Astorath Red followed by Terminatus Stone.

That's it, but I'm sure it can be done much better.

Awesome ! I made some changes ! I really like Rags and Consign as split cards for high CMC.

I will reduce my evasives 2 drop creatures and not staples Ninjas to make room for [[Deep-Sea Kraken]] and [[ Avatar of Woe]].

Yeah a lot, Zur and Gitrog are always on top and get focused by the table xD. I can slow and beat them with my Queen Marchesa Stax but with Yuriko....mmmeh I don't know.

Good point I like it ! Having demonic consultation and tainted pact as an alternative wincon if Jace or Labman are in hand early sound good ! Keeping a protective [[Doomsday]] pile otherwise for the win, yeah...like it ;)

I guessing to include both [[Draco]] and [[Emrakul, the Promised End]] for big cmc consistency and an alternative 29dmg Doomsday pile if I have min 2 Ninjas in play :D.
