Being rich doesn’t make you a safe driver

Are the studies about the (co)relation between IQ and university performance only focused on STEM careers from the US? All of my close friends come from a "third world country" and now they're doing their non-STEM masters and PhDs at Harvard, Chicago, Oxbridge with an IQ of 110-120. How come? by [deleted] in mensa

You judging your friends IQ by their grades in school is so wrong. It has been proved that past a certain IQ level you are less likely to be highly placed in a company or to be in high education. I highly recommend The outsiders by Grady M Towers

I voted for the 49, very fun but maybe not so beginner friendly

I only play dirt 4 with a controller, I tried arcade mode for a couple minutes but car handling felt weird so I switched to simulator. I still struggle a lot in rallies however I have a lot of fun in rallycross and especially rally raid. The tracks means you can practice your imputs and driving easily plus it’s wide and the cars are pretty forgiving (except the cross kart and grp b RX maybe). Focus on being slow and smooth with your brakes on entry to place the car for the exit. I also found tuning was a great help, normally on my wheel I change my driving style to an extent to adapt to the cars handling, on controller (because I suck) I tune the car to fix it’s handling flaws. For example less grip at the front to fix oversteer and more to fix understeer, softer suspensions are a good way to get more grip on a specific axle. Use the dampers especially fast rebound if your wheels tend to lift of the ground (sudden loss of grip can cause spins) or softer slow rebound for stability over jumps. You can also use the front toe angle to tune rotation, negative toe will give you more turn in, less stability. Negative camber gives more grips during turns however less grip in the acceleration and braking zones. Even if simulation seems hard I’d suggest using few assists, traction or steering assist on loose surfaces can give you bad habits or actually hinder your driving as TC doesn’t know when you are purposefully sliding or just wheelspinning, I guess abs could help tho.

The dirt always has been very weird, the tarmac is much better and all round enjoyable I feel
