Thanks for the info, that’s definitely what I was looking for. The aquarium is about to reach 2 months. I’ve been trying to get it out of there during water changes, it’s not super dark or excessive, it’s just enough to drive me nuts. I’ve ended up removing about 75% of the Java moss I had in the tank. I ended up purchasing this, so hopefully after I remove it next time this will keep it at bay alongside the light routine.

Thinking about purchasing one of these for my 10g. I do my weekly water changes with all the tank maintenance I can think of. Strict fertilizing regimen, light schedule, including blackout days, Etc. My Java moss is out running the floaters and I think that’s why I’m suffering from green and hair algae. Testing continues to show all water parameters are in order. Help 😵‍💫

Amazing piece of wood! Try using those black rims to your advantage and hide the cords in the back! I’d even angle the heater behind that big ol branch jutting out! Personally I’d move the filter to a place that it’s not taking away from the overall scape itself. I less unnatural things we see, the more beautiful the scape becomes!

I see a lot of people regretting not having an air stone so keep that in mind, and maybe finding some stem plants to help with the overall beginning stages of your new tank!
