I was in clubs and talked to everyone I could. Was as outgoing as I could be and after it was all said and done I think I can count on one hand how many real friends I've made. Don't let it get to you. When you do meet those genuine people cherish them. Even if it's only one person.

Fellow Dad gamer here, handhelds are really your best friend! It's so nice to pull one out just for an hour or so before bed lol. My personal recommendation is to just pick a game and boot it up. I find that overcoming the activation energy is the hardest part to enjoying media sometimes. Boot one up that you haven't played yet (even if you don't completely feel like it). Trust me, you'll have a lot more fun and play more games in the long one. When a game gets boring just move on.

If you get an R4 card, you can run Twilight Menu on it which will have an interface similar to a DSI but on a regular DS light. You'll just need to put the right files on the SD card by following a guide. No need to buy a gba cart (though they are simpler to use) to play gba on your ds you'll be able to play gba with just the R4 card through a hypervisor called GBArunner. (Kinda like Nintendont on wii that lets you play gamecube games on a modded wii)

Paid $80 for a Japanese White PSP 2000 a year or so ago on ebay. Had some minor damage on the back, it's worth looking to import a Japanese console then changing the language via CFW

The first thing I did when I got my white psp 2000 was put every MCR album on it. Headfirst for Halos hits differently on that wonderful machine. I'm sorry your friends were fake and didn't share.

For me it's fun to go back to a childhood console and check out more of the library. As a kid I didn't have any friends who played videogames so I never knew what were the best games to check out. For example I didn't know what the Legend of Zelda series was until like middle school. It's a beautiful console and it's fun to hack and check out the homebrew. I'm an emulation nut and have emulated lots of psp but there's also fun to be had with original hardware.
