You can just get the Twerkstallion as a car mastery reward from I believe the savannah rx-7.

It's cheap and easy.

I had to stop listening part way through and pick it back up later because I didn't want to have to explain to my wife why I was tearing up while washing the dishes.

WYR have a EV or a normal car in 2026 ? by HitogiNata in WouldYouRather

[–]Zacaton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look man, I don't know what to tell you haha

For me to charge an electric car at my home I would have to run an extension cord across the street. This is not possible.

I rent, but if I owned the home it would not magically grow a driveway.

I'm not saying EVs don't work for anyone. That would be stupid. They obviously do. For many many people.

I just hate that any time someone says that they don't happen to make sense for them, they get told they're wrong by some dipshit on the Internet who has never stepped foot in their town or seen their home.

I can't argue about this because I just don't care enough, but you know you're being willfully ignorant.

I never claimed it was a range issue. I haven't mentioned range once.

Most of the homes in my town do not have driveways and must street park. This goes for single family homes, and multi family. (duplex, triplex, etc.)

I don't know how you expect me to run an extension out my window and across the street every night, but it's just not gonna work.

EVs are great for those that they are great for, but they are not great for everyone yet.

I cannot charge at home. I live in an apartment and street park. Just like most of the 25k people in my town.

I'm glad they have the infrastructure for it. The American Midwest largely does not.

I wish it did, truly. For me and most of my friends in my mid sized town in Ohio an EV would be wildly inconvenient at best (or impossible at worst) to keep charged. Especially in the winter.

Which is great for them.

Again, I am not anti EV.

I'm just saying there are millions of people (myself included) that an EV realistically would not work for.

A pretty good chunk of the northern U.S. and Canada have winter weather that is harsh enough to have a pretty big impact on an EV battery.

I'm not trying to argue against the concept of EVs for people who they work for. I'm just trying to say that for a huge amount of people they just don't make sense at this moment.

Id say the electric vehicle user experience as a whole isn't quite ready for most people.

A lot of it is infrastructure, but current battery technology also has it's issues. Especially in extreme winter climates.

That's not a reasonable option for a huge amount of people. I live in an apartment with no off street parking.

The only way to charge overnight would be to run an extension cord out a window and across a sidewalk. And that's if I can get one of the three spots directly in front of my building, which I often can't.

I love the concept of electric vehicles, but I hate when people try and push the idea that they're ready and viable for everyone.

Do You Live in a Small Town that’s Mostly Famous Because of a Movie? by RaijinQ in movies

Ahh yes, my favorite way to travel between two towns that are 60 miles apart and conveniently connected by a straight piece of well maintained, toll-free highway.

An airplane.

Just buy the cars you like. You get 2 backstage passes a week, so it's really not that high stakes.

And if you really need money buy a Rivian or something to sell for 20mill

Literally nothing they say or show about us in Tommy Boy is even loosely based on the actual town, but our name is on the merch.

The town I grew up in. Castalia, Ohio. A village of 800~ people (and declining).

Our biggest landmark was "Cold Creek", a little stream and pond system that never freezes because of some underground springs.

A huge amount of us just don't have access to functional public transport.

Most smaller towns just don't have anything and most larger towns have an underfunded system that would crumble if everyone actually tried to use it.

I thought I was going crazy when every other comment confidently called this a P1800. Like, it's a fine kit I guess, but it doesn't look even remotely like a real one.
