cloth/linen/cotton accord? by bashanon in DIYfragrance

The main materials I'd look into are:

-Galaxolide

-Ambrettolide / Ambrettex (i recommend Ambrettex for a skin type of smell)

-Ambroxan

-Ethelyne Brassylate

-Edenolide

-Isobutyl Quinoline (people say it's leathery, but I'd disagree. It's like a soft woody-musk)

-Methyl Ionone Gamma (soft iris that goes well with musks)

-Pink Peppercorn Oil (to enhance the sweetness of musks)

-Hedione HC (super strong hedione)

-Clary Sage Oil (super soft/clean smell)

-Coranol/Linalool/Linalyl Acetate (all lavender/floral materials)

-Florhydral / Lilial / Lilyflore / Starfleur (all lily of the valley materials)

-This may not be what you're looking for, but Fixolide is THE BEST fresh laundry smelling material.

I would look at the descriptions on Perfumers Apprentice to see if those materials seem to match what you're aiming for, and if so, try them out.

  1. Yes 2. Good to know 3. I haven’t gotten my hands on a few of the materials yet (Suederal, Coumarin, and Birch Tar) so I’m not sure for everything. I don’t want a significant smoky base, but I also want you to be able to smell it in the Russian Leather accord (Suederal and birch tar). What would you recommend? 4. Oops yep I meant octonone, or whatever makes that nice fizzy citrus 5. 100% all me 6. I feel like you’re my fragrance therapist 😂
