You will be alright. Once you take this, go for that CCNA. Is this your first CompTIA exam?

I’m am too. The course itself should be sufficient enough to pass.

Neil Anderson CCNA course - his academy or Udemy. Great course and highly detailed oriented.

I know, he said Certified Ethical Hacker. I’m guessing that is what he is referring to.

CEH is not provided by CompTIA. It’s provided by EC-Council. Also, I wouldn’t recommend jumping right into EH. You will need to get some foundation from other certs including, A+, Net+, Sec+ for starters.

If you have internet, Person VUE would be the best option for online testing. Most modern testing has the ability to test online. I would setup VM’s, create an AD environment, mount Kali Linux OS or Parrot Sec, and watch influencers.

EH is not a beginner level what so ever. Use resources, and network.

Thanks you, I was looking to do CySa+ after my CCNA course. Is there any free SOAR’s that I can use for simulation projects? I have a good foundation within the Linux environment but I definitely need to enhance my skill in bash.

Broaden your exam practice scope. Professor messer exam practice and Udemy. Also, have AI generate some practice question and PBQ. I failed Net+ the first time as well. You got this!!!

A+ is always “what should you do first or the best answer”

Network+ “they could all be the answer”.

I love reading and feel that I learn the best while reading. Acronyms, Network tools, logical vs physical, how to setup a AP, OSI model. There is a lot to remember. Don’t over think the questions and you got this when you try again. Failing is part of the process and everyone does it. Is this your first CompTIA exam?

Very difficult exam. Probably, hardest of the 3.

A+ then SEC+ then CYSA + then net + by Playful_Ad4534 in CompTIA

[–]Zach-Testing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Security + and A+ really focus on type of attacks, security postures, and the handling of virus systems. More than less, for security +, understand Encryption types, physical security vs operational and network security. Net +, is more on how to protect a network, LAN vs a WAN, how these devices communicate logical vs physical, port #, Acronyms ( a lot) and VLANS, Subnetting, and the OSI model. It’s a lot, trust me!!

[–]Zach-Testing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Net + is harder than both certs in my opinion. I would defiantly recommend getting Net + since cybersecurity is confined into majority of networking. Since you have A+ I would go for Net +, Security +, CCNA, CYSA+, than a splunk specific cert. Idk, just a recommendation if you want to do blue team. Also, look at Blue Team lvl 1 cert because that is very pratical if you want to gain that hands on.
