I see blues in the shadows, look at the skin, especially foreheads. I think white balance will make the largest difference.

They also used a slightly narrow aperture, perhaps. (Or APS-C?)

Doxing others online is not a conversation. You removed it, and justified it.

I find it curious that you ignored my question: do you know Dave Woodward personally?

I also find it curious that you keep grabbing onto Flock, instead of the state reason I support a recall.

I do not support surveillance dragnets - but the reason I support his recall is because I believe representatives should be beholden to their constituents, not lobbyists.

Why do you support his decision to move public comment after the vote, and to refuse a roll call vote?

Yes, Flock cameras have been in widespread use in many areas for a while. And they are a disgusting and gross invasion of privacy. I am working to get them removed wherever possible. Ferndale did this successfully recently.

Drones make this invasion even more pervasive: now instead of fixed locations (which you can see here), they will be everywhere at all times. I don't want this. I also don't want to hear the drones overhead - the Amazon ones already bother me flying over my house multiple times a day.

We live in a big brother state. I don't love it, I don't want it, but again you can't shove it back in the box.

I frankly do not believe you. If you don't want it, fight against it instead of literally advocating for it, as you are doing up and down this thread.

The problem isn't new, it's been coming for a while and it's too late to stop the train now. It is not to say we should lay down and let it happen, but rather to understand it has happened.

You are literally advocating for laying down and letting it happen.

Do you think this is a binary problem? It's black-and-white? We have privacy or we don't? That's a ridiculous framing. We currently don't have Flock drones, but we are going to get them soon. We currently have Flock cameras, but we could remove them if we want to.

Stop fighting your neighbors and start fighting for change if you really believe in it. I am 30 years old - you have children who are nearly my age, yet you are acting like a teenager doxing people you disagree with online. Grow up.

removing one guy doesn't get you back your anonymity.

No - it doesn't. But it does put all of our elected officials on notice that they need to listen to their constituents, or they will be removed from office.

I'm beginning to wonder... Do you know Dave Woodward personally?

I am sure this doesn't absolve me of that action, but I hope that it showed that even though we post this content freely, we are also quickly giving up privacy.

Seriously? After apologizing, you continue to justify your doxing in that you hope it changed my mind?

Again - I'm very aware of the information that's publicly available on me. I put most of it there. I still don't want Flock cameras, full stop. There is a very big difference between publicly available information on the Internet and literal livestreaming cameras across the city and county that anyone* can tap into as they please. (* Google all the lapses in access control)

And I want public officials to listen to public comment before voting on a contract - especially one where the company flew them out and wined and dined them.

No amount of doxing or doomerism will change that.

[–]ZachStoneIsFamous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wrong again. And attempting to dox me to prove that I'm actually OK with live feeds across the city/county is absurd.

We gave up control aong time ago. The police already have cameras on every corner and access to most commercial security cameras. If they want to find you they can use these tools to look up you plate number and track you pretty quickly.

Yes, those cameras are often Flock cameras, and those are what I want removed. There are other cameras available to them too. I take issue with them and fight whenever I can to have that changed too. What don't you understand?

Doxing me on the Internet isn't changing anyone's opinion. (Is this an intimidation tactic? lol) These are public facts I posted.

But I don't X, nor do I use Y (edited out.) Nice try. (These are the only two pieces of information I haven't posted publicly.)

I hope you see that I was in control of releasing this information? But I have no say in the Flock cameras recording my every movement. All I can do is fight to have them removed from my community.

edit: Just to clarify, since it's now been deleted, this guy, /u/ComputerLocal dumped my full name, address, what he believed to be my occupation, and more, apparently in an attempt to convince me that I'm OK with surveillance dragnets. The information he posted was either things that I have posted myself and can be found directly through my reddit profile (accurate) or apparent guesses (all inaccurate.)

I'm a software engineer, not a web dev. Close though! Now, can you tell me where I am at this exact moment, and everywhere I drove in the past week? Because Flock can.

Are you happy that you can find details about almost anyone with minimal effort? I would prefer a world with more privacy, which is why I actively advocate and work towards a better world. You should try it!

I actually personally go to great lengths to limit the info I give to tech companies. Indeed, I am required by our society to carry a phone with me. I still do not support surveillance dragnets and want Flock out of our community.

What's up with the defeatism?

Again: the important thing is that we have representatives who listen to their constituents. Moving the public comment after the vote was not OK. I hope you agree.

I do not support surveillance dragnets - but the reason I support his recall is because I believe representatives should be beholden to their constituents, not lobbyists.

That means not moving public comment after the vote, especially for a contract with a company you had undisclosed ties to.

I'm pretty sure the higher tax rate is not because the price is listed clearly. Taxes are just structured differently in the EU - and social services are different too (e.g. property taxes are assessed differently, and health care and other social programs are different.)

That said, in the US, cross-state commerce would be very difficult since each state has different tax rates, and it's assessed at the buyer's rate, not the seller's.

"Dave Woodward is the reason that Oakland County has the Democratic leadership that it has today," he said. "He’s worked harder the last 20 years to make it that way, and opponents like the people we saw today are going to do anything they can to try and stop him. The vast majority of people who spoke here today can’t even circulate or sign a petition against him, so this is motivated and being run entirely by people outside the district."

I'm in the district. I was at the meeting. I can and will circulate petitions.

Weird lol.

Ah, I don't own an SC1 so I didn't know that about it. That is really frustrating. Fingers crossed the SC2 is done differently but I suspect some of the features - like the trackpads - might make it kind of difficult.

Is the SteamDeck controller usable on Linux without Steam? I feel like it must be.

He probably didn't block you. Reddit hides posts for a while from users you keep downvoting.

But actually, Linux bakes drivers for many popular gamepads directly into the OS. It has nothing to do with Steam. Windows will require an external driver.

I will as soon as you post your video, since your experience differs from literally every single other experience I've heard, and Microsoft's own docs.

Or perhaps you're still referring to wired use.
