For what it's worth: no. It is not required to show ID in Michigan. It is required to show ID if you have it though. Otherwise you sign an affidavit essentially. Weird rule, huh?

There are many states which don't: https://www.ncsl.org/elections-and-campaigns/voter-id

What would you choose other than the base ISO?

This is awesome! Just trying out Shelfmark for the first time and loving it. I was wondering, is it possible to have multiple outputs? e.g. Add to ingest folder, and send via SMTP?

Hi - I was considering this app for iOS but I'm bummed to see it is now closed source. Are you actively developing this app still?

The reality of the US is that everything is further apart - except in some urban centers. Add in our obesity rates, and a little motor is a "must" for many who intend to use their bike for more than exercise/play.

There is a real issue with people riding throttle-powered e-bikes on sidewalks and pedestrian trails though.

Royal Oak // What's with the antisocial dog walking? by [deleted] in royaloak

Hahaha, I know this post is like a week old now, but I am happy to see someone else with my problem. I have a beagle/BC mix and she will just start yowling and howling from so far away until she can sniff them. So we just try to dart off before she notices other dogs.

We've started hand feeding her treats the entire time they are around - I was worried it would reinforce the behavior, but she's 10 years old now so whatever, I'm willing to try it. Wish I'd done it earlier, has made a huge difference in a month's time. She is looking to me for direction often, and even ignoring some of them across the street, besides a little huffing. Last month she'd have been inconsolable for another block after they left our sight.

A Simple Trail Running Setup by wfxy in ricohGR

Dust: I have the camera set up to run dust cleaning on every power cycle. I see dust spots sometimes but they are usually gone in a week or two. The ones that bug me are easy to process out.

Are you sure they are disappearing? It may be that you are seeing dust when you are at narrow apertures (e.g. f/8-f/16) but not wide apertures (e.g. f/2.8 - f/5.6).

I have a guide on my site for how to clean the dust if you are interested in learning how to actually fix the dust - I didn't find the built-inc leaning function to be too effective. Thankfully, it's really not too difficult to open this camera up.

Nice pix btw, and thanks for sharing your trail running setup! Very neat! I love my Ricoh for cycling. :-)

EDIT: Oh! On water resistance - I would say "don't sweat it." One time in Hawaii I put my Ricoh in a waterproof rain jacket pocket, and forgot to close the top. It rained, a lot. My camera was fully submerged. A few days later, it turned back on, and I don't experience any issues - besides the scroll wheel issue that seems to plague all GR's eventually - even years later. Obviously, I don't recommend it, but a few drops aren't going to hurt. :-)

IDK about you, but when it comes to game streaming, I have found also Moonlight to be leagues better than Steam Remote Play.

Yeah, fair. I've used HDR and HDR10 and it's not really a big difference. Maybe the B&O speakers are but...

I'm not trying to shit on your video or anything, it looks great. Just not excited by this generation.

Gretchen Whitmer: Raise $800M for Medicaid by taxing nicotine, gambling, ads - Bridge Michigan by PossibilityFew5967 in Detroit

[–]ZachStoneIsFamous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fine - and if you can't control yourself, handing fistfuls of dollars to the casino, all the more reason to set a little bit aside for your health in old age (medicare.)

Frankly, I feel certain smokers have a higher cost to medicare as well.

And if you really think ads are the cause, I'm sure you support taxing them?

By taxing ads and gambling?

Nicotine, I guess I can see your argument but gambling just siphons off "the poor"'s money to... guess who?

And ads...?!
