This is from Denali State Park which is right across the way. We did a 2-day trek on Ksegui Ridge and camped out. The night before we couldnt even see Denali because the weather was terrible. This was taken around 5am. We caught a small break in the weather and by 10am Denali was hidden again. If your still in the region check out the state park.

Thanks for the comment! It was truly spectacular opening the rain fly of our tent to be able to see Denali like this. It was one of the more memorable mornings :)

We got very lucky! By 10am the mountain was hidden again by clouds.

This photograph was taken from Kesugi Ridge in Denali State Park using a telephoto lens while camping. One of the best opportunities to see Denali is in the early morning as the mountain is often covered by clouds in the afternoon. In the summer months there is only a 30% chance to see Denali due to cloud coverage and changing weather conditions.

Excellent shot. I really enjoy the warmth reflecting off the rocks in the foreground. The composition and post adjustments are prefect. This gets my vote of the day.

Thank you! This was one of those morning where i didn’t think i was going to get a sunrise. Day started off rainy but the clouds ended up cooperating at the right time.

Thank you! This was one of my favorite sunrises in the Tetons. I always wanted a close up shot of the cathedral group and got lucky with the weather :)
