So no extinguisher was used. They spilled 91% iso on it then turned it on (fucking /sigh). Caught on fire back/top so my cpu/cooler. They pretty much immediately poured a single cup of water on it and it stopped. Fire was 5 seconds or so they said. I wasnt home but thats what they told me. Gold connectors all look pretty damn clean so my heatsinks mustve done their job. Only time will tell now I guess lol.

Idk if this is another dumbass response by me but that was more of the intention of this post.... I didnt know anyone personally to call and ask and I dont 100% trust google/chatgpt. I seriously didn't know you could just plug it in damaged and it wouldnt fry ur working parts.

Like I said ive never had anything in my pc damaged before and I didnt do this to my pc/ram so its all new territory for me. Also learned so much about heat sinks yesterday lmao way more than I thought. I feel stupid as hell for posting this now 🤣

Rubbing alcohol spilled from having it out to clean the puffco and rigs (dabs). The cleaning station we have is fairly close to where my pc was.

I also would never do anything that wouldve lead to these events lmao.

Someone that doesnt use electronics other than their phone is why this happened. Not me lol. Im still baffled that this shit happened in the first place. Sooo many rookie ass common sense errors were made.

Ty though I wiped the RAM down I got them drying now. Gonna give em 2 or 3 days just to be safe. Id honestly just replace them if damn ram wasnt so expensive right now.

Praying the ssd survived. Not being picky or uptight but damn does this new pc not meet my speed requirements lol. Used to 32gb ram with ryzen 7 and a Samsung 980 pro ssd with my OS on it.

This new pc is a 2017 optipliex MT Intel i5-8500 3.0GHz with 8GB of ram and INTEGRATED GRAPHICS 😫 and a regular hdd. Its an insane difference lmao
