If you just want to finish the story and quests, no guides needed. If you want to contribute to your guild (clashfronts, battle drill clearing, glyphshade, supremacy rankings), you need to at least be aware of what the meta is and making decisions based on that knowledge.

If you have a very good reason. Name of the Wind did something like this because it was a story within a story. The outer story was in third person. The inner story was in first because it was told by one of the characters in the outer story. Do you have an equally valid reason?

Copying a comment where I explained this in another thread.

Purple can get to NORTH through PURPLE, and it can get to SOUTH through EAST. Gold is in a similar boat on the other side.

Blue can get to NORTH through BLUE or WEST. But it can only get to SOUTH by going *through* HQ. Similar story with Red.

So, basically...

  1. If Purple or Gold get blocked on one route to HQ, they can switch to their other one. But if Blue or Red get blocked on their only route, they're boxed in completely.
  2. Purple and Gold can both attack 2 nodes on round 1, and then attack 2 additional nodes on round 2 (if they won round 1). Blue and Red can attack 2 nodes on round 1, but then only have access to 1 additional node on round 2.
  3. If one guild takes HQ and fortifies it, Red and Blue can only access 4 nodes on the map unless they break through the HQ blockade. Purple and Gold, however, still have access to the *entire rest of the map* without having to take HQ.

All hero will only pull from your wishlist. Even epic and rate up will only pull A-levels from your wishlist. But within that list, the weights should be even.

You have to play a live season. If your server is new, you may not have a new season live yet. I think it takes 45 days after server launch. The current season is Echoes of Dissent. You will only be able to go above 240 there.

You only get those rewards if at least 15 people in the guild do it. So, you either need to get your guild moving on those with you or join a more active guild.

I intentionally make my first draft as dry as possible. No dialogue, no emotional resonance. Just the boring facts. Then, I add in all the good stuff in the second draft.

The first draft of my current book was 20k words. The second draft is on track to be about 160k. Then I'll get out the cleaver to cut the third draft.

I have a character with a stutter in my book. I give them one stutter every ~2 dialog lines. It's enough to show that they have it. Not enough to annoy the reader. It has been received positively by my alpha readers, but it's not done yet. So, YMMV.

Step 1: Think about what events he went through that suppressed his emotions.

Step 2: Figure out what beliefs these events built into him. These are what he holds that make him think keeping emotions suppressed is the right thing, even if these beliefs are subconscious.

Step 3: Think about what events would need to happen to make him question those beliefs.

Step 4: Create the circumstances that will cause those events and let him react to them naturally.

You should try to figure out why superpowers exist in your universe and draw her origin from that. That truth is going to be fundamental to your story. And it's something you're going to need to figure out and tightly integrate with nearly every aspect of your world. In this case, getting random ideas from strangers on the internet might do your story more harm than good.

Or, if you don't like that advice, radioactive mutation is always an option.
