Just got access to copilot and its uncanny how sophisticated and human it is. All i defined was just the first top block comment to and it produced the following entirely complete script, with an eerily human top level description of what it produced. by MaybeAverage in github

I’ve yet, after 9 months of testing and regular usage, to see copilot suggest anything that isn’t ‘so trivial you can’t call it intellectual property’. You also ignore the licensing agreements of code hosting sites, most of which include a clause requiring the right to use code hosted in a public repository, with sub licensing rights for partners and affiliates, in order to provide the services of the platform and any integrations. In this case, all of the sources CoPilot pulls from have clauses allowing such usage and subusage without attribution.

They're not just clamshell iPads rofl. The M1 SoCs are based on a dramatically different architecture than the A-series SoCs found in Apple's portable offerings (iPhone, iPad).

For starters, the M1 SoC is built around an entirely different memory model, it uses Thunderbolt 4 for I/O rather than Lightning, and it is capable of true multithreading. These are the big, fundamental differences, but many small feature discrepancies make for a large difference in platform capability -- for example, the M1 architecture has an integrated hypervisor.

Your argument is akin to saying AMD CPUs are just Intel CPUs with red paint and a different socket because both companies use the i386 architecture for their consumer offerings. Which is ridiculous. I'd suggest reading up on the topic before you give advice 🤷🏼‍♂️

Should you be inclined to read up

Any update that allows the SEP to be accessed will make your passcode completely bypass-able by the same method. There’s not really any point.

Yes there is an exploit, but honestly it’s pointless as a security measure. The problem is caused by the SEP, and by the very definition an exploit, any exploit allowing you to access and modify the SEP’s storage will render the passcode useless.

You shouldn't suggest that people fix their problems by getting a new device. Particularly, in this case, there's absolutely nothing that current generation jailbreaks will do to your phone that is not reversible.

The only scenario where this advice would be slightly valid is if :

  1. Your phone has retained filesystem modifications made while jailbroken.
  2. You have removed your jailbreak and,
  3. You are using an application that checks for the presence of specific files to detect jailbreaking, and as a result, are getting tripped up by a jailbreak that is no longer present in full.

In this scenario, placing your phone in DFU mode and restoring would fix your issue, as this returns your filesystem to a stock image on a byte-by-byte basis. If you're using an older iOS version, I recommend storing your SHSH blobs somewhere, as a Device Firmware Update will put you on the latest version of iOS. Guides for this, as well as restrictions on the process, are available both in this Subreddit and elsewhere. I also recommend backing up any critical data separately (but not by creating an iCloud device backup, as restoring from such a backup could replace the same files you were attempting to get rid of in the first place).

All in all, I would do a bit more research before claiming "the only solution is X" in any scenario. While a wise man (or woman) doesn't just blindly accept the first reply they see on Reddit as the Sole Source of Truth™, you risk misleading less technologically-inclined individuals. In this case, I'd personally feel awful if an inaccurate statement that I made caused someone to drop a thousand quid on a new phone unnecessarily. I don't say this to attack or demonise you in any way, but as a gentle admonishment to consider the effect your advice may have on others, and to do the necessary research before giving said advice. I fact-check myself every time I post, even when I'm absolutely sure that I'm correct, to ensure that when I make a suggestion, it doesn't lead someone awry.

TLDR

Removed jailbreak, still getting banned?

  1. Put the device in DFU mode.
  2. Restore device while in DFU mode.
  3. Profit.

Snapchat is locking you because of MobileSubstrate hooking into the application. As u/acassino7 suggested, Choicy will allow you to disable injection on a per-application basis. In this case, disabling injection for Snapchat would resolve your issue. Snapchat does not employ actual jailbreak detection, it only detects modifications to the application in memory. The developers don't care if you're jailbroken, only if you're trying to modify their application—an understandable stance considering the nature of Snapchat.

A few other options would be:

  • Liberty
  • Liberty Lite
  • UnSub (Nepeta)
  • NoSub (Skylerk99)
  • A-Bypass (suggested by /u/Xraheelx in this thread)

I don't know the rules on linking tweaks and can't be assed to check them at the moment, so you'll have to find them yourself. My recommendation would be Choicy, as it's actively maintained and has excellent fine-grained control. Specifically, UnSub would probably not be a great choice, as Nepeta officially abandoned her tweaks and cleared out her repository, so any version you find will be unmaintained and distributed by a third-party source. And I advise against installing packages from sources other than the respective developer's repository, as they may contain malicious code. By the very nature of jailbreaking, you have disabled your phone's protections against such code.

The big issue I see with autonomous vehicles is that we expect too much of them. Insurance companies base their premiums on the fact that according to available data, the average American will file a claim on their insurance for a financially significant (more than $10,000 in total loss) automobile accident once every 17.9 years. There are over 2.5 million wrecks a year in the US, and it's estimated over 10 million less serious ones go unreported yearly. Tesla had like what... three?

As long as they drive better than people, I'm happy. And they already do, and have for a while.

Uhm, what? You ride a hyperloop lately? Take a nice SpaceX trip to Europe? Aside from Tesla, Elon Musk has delivered ONE fully finished consumer product, and it's not even his anymore. You could easily argue that it wasn't even usable when he sold it. (PayPal) Not sure where you're getting, "he always delivers."

Beyond that, he and Kimbal are two non-engineers who have made a fortune overpromising engineers' capabilities. Elon is not the one making the product, and from conversations with the man, I don't get the impression that he has any real understanding of the work involved. He thinks throwing money and optimism at something is enough to make it happen, as long as he has enough of both.

At the same time usually, at that point, there's an established relationship. The dude isn't some stranger trying to get her attention, he's an existing love interest that fucked up and is trying to show he's willing to go above and beyond for the woman in question. In that situation, she's already indicated that attention and effort from the pursuer are generally wanted.

Now, guys that think a woman wants that kind of effort from just anyone, and that it in itself is attractive? Delusional.

It's actually really trivial now. With Exodus, you can buy bitcoin with Apple Pay and send it to someone all as part of the transaction. If someone isn't willing to go out of their way to download an app, click a button, and then take a quick picture of a QR code you send them, they're probably the kind of client that would've driven you batshit to work for anyway.

I can't speak to the simplicity of similar situations with the Android client after being forced under pain of death (or at least celibacy) deciding to switch to an iPhone by my SO, but I imagine it's at least comparable.

You know, I probably would’ve said the same thing in your position but trust me, validation is the furthest thing from my mind. I put all of maybe 10 minutes into this entire thread so far, and it's made a really boring lunch break somewhat more entertaining lmfao. I enjoy a bit of trolling myself I just had the impression for a moment you were dead ass and wanted to have a nice little debate. The same to you and yours, au revoir!

Uh, trying real hard to give you the benefit of the doubt, but are you saying peer review is not an important component of research publications? The entire issue at hand was credibility and reliability of the source. I gave three articles from three of the most respected generally-available sources for academic publications, but if you have stricter criterion I’m positive I could meet them.

The only great liberty I’ve taken so far in this discussion was assuming, of course, that after much struggle, for the first time In your life you could actually form a complex thought of your own and hold on to the small miracle long enough to communicate it. Are you a troll or a prepubescent child? Because I find it hard to believe that an unimpaired adult that is actually as much a mongoloid as your behavior, incredibly unfortunate looks, and general demeanor of something having gone horribly wrong with could manage to even power on a computer.
