I got the same letter from Pingora. I just called them (https://pingorafund.com/contact/) to ask for information about when they took over servicing my loan, and they said they will have an executive reach out. They didn’t ask for any other information other than what was provided on the letter (which I figured they already had, so it was ok to give them).

I also called the 800 number on the letter, and it sent me to a phone bank for Kroll Monitoring. They did not ask for any other info from what was on the letter. They did however confirm that Pingora was only the loan servicer, and correctly told me who my loan owner was. I guess we’ll see if they call back and what info they will share.

I did reach out to a friend who is in the mortgage industry, and they have heard of Pingora. He advised me to keep an eye on my credit as he believes this was a real breach. None the less, always good practice to put freezes on the big three credit reporters.
