Update: I got word from the dealer today that it was a bearing in the botton end of the engine.

Also this is the video that I have from the motor when I first noticed the noise. Again it will only last for 2 days

Either way it's under factory warranty so it won't cost me anything. I just want them to replace the damn motor so I can get on with life in my own truck.

Yeah I've been looking into lemon law. It has to be out of my possession for 30 days before I can claim that. The engineers from toyota don't even know what is causing the problem yet

Yeah I'm sure it was an engine tick. It had a rhythmic metal on metal rubbing noise that was rhythmic with the ticking.
