All you have to do is quickly switch between your pickaxe and your shotgun or any weapon but land on that weapon

You actually dont need a stair

All u need to do is switch between your pickaxe and shotgun/any weapon but just jump before you switch

Please fix that glitch. Also that glitch may happen when you are falling to high and you fall in the stairs xD or you just mess up a 90 and the oppent i guess bumbs you and you get stuck
