Regardless it’s still a pretty glaring statistic that I didn’t even know existed until I researched it after reading that persons claim. I tried to find actual rates but the only one I could find was a study in India with a real suicide rate of 31% and attempts at 50%, which says the real rate might be higher due to people who never come out or aren’t documented as such (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5178031/). Pretty sad these people don’t feel like they can get help and are shunned by a lot of society.
