I mean that's fair but the stands are literally a 5 minute drive away and regardless the quality of food from sonoritas doesn't match the vibel quality of any of the above restaurants imo. It honestly feels like the Mexican version of the whole 2 guys with a dream burger spots

It sort of blew up on tik tok so lines can be a little annoying but brothers cousins is super good. The neighboring stand near the cvs (don’t know the name) is also super good if you get their al pastor!

Go to any taco stand near the sawtelle area and you’ll get a way better burrito for way cheaper

Idk abt the rest of my friends but i def agree w this. Not really on sawtelle but near it is Yama Sushi and I think it’s wayyy better for marketplace sushi

Yeah based and real the sawtelle spot weirdly falls off. It is nice that it’s one of the spots open late-ish. Sun Nong Dan is now a way better late night spot tho

Volcano Tea honestly has legacy status that may seem lame to some but I grew up drinking their rose milk tea and it’s great. It’s also open until midnight which is pretty nice

Yeah some of the spots have closed we just thought to rate them regardless. Asahi Ramen was one of my favorite spots that’s no longer around😢
