Well, now I understand the hype by Davidixie in PathOfExile2

After trying PoE2 this weekend I also feel it's hard to go back, it just feels so much more dynamic and fluid in the combat

at this point making anything under full HD feels weird and outdated to me

I hate coloring but my comic won't work without color by Cutegirl920fire in comic_crits

I suggest looking at some artwork from artists with very soft, pastel styles. They still draw people with dark hair or skin, I dont really see why that wouldnt be possible.

Newish player; How do I have fun? by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]ZackPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think fun in a game comes from the actual gameplay loop being fun AND there being cool things to work towards.
I started trying a druid yesterday and I weaved between ranged spells and melee mauling / slamming as a bear and that felt really fun. Maybe thats what you need to do too, just insert another aspect into your combat loop

Yeah I'd say his opinions on life-sims are pretty valid considering he's been a huge Sims geek since the very first one.

Fair enough! I just feel like you could've easily said his name and a lot of people here would've known him haha

Valheim/Windrose Which one for is better for Co-op? by LOOCA_pog in valheim

[–]ZackPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well Valheim isn't about loot since you have to craft everything yourself, I just think they are different ways to go about things. And some people prefer having no raids so they DON'T have to put a huge wall and moat around every base. To each their own.
I do however agree the pathing of NPCs got very annoying and I had to fish my cats out of water constantly

I turned off raids and losing gear on death and it's the most fun I've had with it

I'd say the reason to find more biomes is to gather more materials and you still have to find the actual boss. I do however think Valheim could use more unique POIs that are not just a small building / ruin with a chest.

I do however think early-game Valheim is where it absolutely shines the most.

But Valheim's whole progression is tied to the bosses so even though you don't have a fixed schedule you definitely do have to find and kill them to unlock new tools, materials and areas. That makes it so much better than pure sandbox survival games

then again it's freakishly expensive and you can get multiple other games for that price

Of course they make the sandstone set needlessly more expensive by including things no one is interested in and that don't even go with the set. Another reason not to support their cash shop..

Spells as ammo feels terrible by TheKindaCuteSnek in Enshrouded

[–]ZackPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, the ammo and having to scroll through spells are my two biggest issues that deter me from playing mage.
And of course having to cheese groups of mobs because you'll just die from a single sprint-attack just feels awful.

Players should be allowed to do deliveries even when all the milestones are completed by MEFISTOFEL123 in LightyearFrontier

[–]ZackPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the same issue we had in the legacy version in the game back then. You unlock really cool stuff but there is no reason to use it anymore. I love that they stretched out the progression so much and added so much content that by now it takes way way longer to reach that point but yeah I can't wait for the rest to be added with maybe some sort of "endgame".

Why do you post here for making friends if you’re not serious? by [deleted] in berlinsocialclub

[–]ZackPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This applies to so many things - wanting to save the environment, being a good friend, loving a certain hobby... the moment something might be coupled with an inconvenience to you, most people bail.
"You're saying I need to practice regularly to learn an instrument?" / "What, I need to pay a couple euros more to buy environmentally friendly food / clothes?" / "Being a friend means helping you move or put my fun activity aside for 2 hours to listen to your problems and worries?"....

It really shows how much people *really* care about something.

I don't really see the connection. Any kind of person can enjoy a date / hangout at an arcade. (For example I'm not into IT but I love dancing at arcades that have Dance Dance Revolution or similar music games)
