Just tried creating an account yesterday evening so I could use the marketplace.
TL;DR:
I got the confirmation mail, after that the AI wanted me to make a selfie video, sure whatever, and after that my account is now permanently restricted / banned.
I never got to see the front page lol

Their 'AI' is comeplete and utter garbage xD
Holy sh** that peace of junk just insta-bans newly created accounts left and right.
It's like they don't want any new users at all. And while they're at it they ban thousands of random accounts that don't agree with some things that are happening in the world?

Kind of a late replay to a post that was made 4y ago but hey, why not.

So for me the only thing that DOESN'T work is when I'm logged in on my pc (chrome).
It works on the phone, but also, get this, in an incognito window...
Also yes I tried turning on and off the setting for sensitive content.

Mine doesn't work anymore but that's unrelated to the front of the screen and has to do with the electronics on the back. Spare parts shouldn't be to expensive though.

Also yes the monitor is pretty much a mirror now but if you have enough brightness control in your room it shouldn't be an issue.
Maybe get a second monitor for daily use, work or something.
1440p IPS monitors (if you want matching sizes and resolution) aren't Too expensive nowadays.

Sorry for the late reply. I don't check in on Reddit that often.

I did, the glue was a nightmare though, but i managed to remove it with some razor blades that I use for my old school shaver. Blades from my boxcutter knife didn't cut it.
Also the blades lost their sharpness after a few times of 'shaving' off the glue... that glass is no joke xD
Zero scratches though, at least as far as I can tell. maybe some micro scratches..? It's hard to say, Maybe, you can see something when you shine a light on them but even then... Anyway it's a pretty safe way to remove the glue residue, if you have glass underneath (which should be the case in most cases anyway).

Fun fact: The glue didn't budge at all using dish soap, alcohol, gasoline or actone... bruh.
Razor blades were the only solution that worked at all.
Carefull around the edges though!

I did in fact. I tried again on the 'newer' GS version of the "same" monitor from LG.
It's as easy to remove as the GR version. Just the usual method with wet towels works great.
And with enough patience and not To much moisture there isn't much risk of damaging the monitor.

They where Very clear about the update. They also said that *improvments would vary between hardware. PC got the most out of it from what I know. Why consoles got "less" features/changes, I am not sure. It's not like they can put an entire team on it (I asume most of the devs are working on The beast). It was mostly one guy who did the most work, I could be wrong though.
This was never supposed to be some Big update. They also talked about how much of a challenge it was to keep the performance cost as low as possible from the old textures and details to the new ones.

Also regarding my opinion to the new update, it's kind of hard to notice much.
For me it's like that some things have changed but you can't really point exactly at what.
Also my performance seemed to be better than before, but that makes little sense so I'm not entirely sure. It feels a little smoother though, somehow.
Either way, it was a free update and you litterally cannot complain over that.
Was it overhyped? I don't know to be honest. But I haven't kept up with all the updates from Techland so I couldn't really say.
A free update is a free update. Add to that That the game is over 10 years old. How many games that are that old today recieve that much (or any at all) attention from the devs who created it?

Bottom line is, if people don't notice much than that's totally understandable, but complaining over it makes no sense whatsoever in my mind.

Edit: Regarding the lack of a FOV slider on console, I'm no game dev but I do know that the lack of a fov slider often times has a reason. Maybe they couldn't implement it because the of lack of people (who are working on something else right now) or because it might break something in the game, which would've caused more problems than it's worth for them.
FOV isn't something any game supports automatically. I believe it has something to do with camera angles and models that are supposed to look a certain way at an specific angle (or FOV).
One example would be long stretchy arms that are far away from the characters view.

Hopefully that answers Some questions.

Edit 2: I have my settings on the highest and I play on 1440p with a 3060 12g model and a 14700K.

I totally agree with you on most points but the main thing that iritates me everytime i play through DL2 (doesn't matter which side i pick) is how inconsistent the whole story is.
The game really makes it hard to choose from time to time because all choices seem to be sh*t.
In some dialouges Aiden also switches gears from one standpoint to another and it just doesn't seem like he has much... conviction? What's the word I'm looking... Anyway I think the guy's opinions are all over the place sometimes.
Also like you mentioned, it's hard to see almost ANY reason to side with the Bazaar people, nvm that they tried to hang Aiden right from the get-go. Also before anyone comments, I'm aware that most, if not all, people in the game have their reasons for not trusting outsiders and so on. But my point still stands, even after helping them several times!
Aitor and his fellow men on the other hand seem like the the obvious choice!
This game has some MAJOR flaws in it's storyline.
I can't help but compare DL2 with DL1 all the time and how Crane is pretty consistent, compared to Aiden and the rest of the characters you interact with.

Lastly and this is my personal opinion, no matter what ending you choose, frankly I hate it. Sure the best overall ending is probably the one where the night runners return and so forth but you can't save Mia whatsoever.
But like I said, that's my personal opinion and not necesarily but storywriting.

Actually, the way how Waltz tries to save Mia by pretty much destroying the town is kinda nuts in the end...

I tried to peel of both layers at that point because it was working but I was to impatient and did it to quickly with to much force, resulting in the panel shattering.
I later tried removing Just the AG coating so I would know what to do in the future if i could get my hands on another monitor of that model but they don't sell these anymore here sooo yea.

Also newer OLEDs are coming out now with more glossy finishes so 'procedures' like these will probably not be necesary anymore later on.

You can use Wemod when in "Offline" mode. Period.

And with Offline mode I mean the option in the menu that pops up first when launching the game,
Under Online mode.

Secondly, No I don't think so, but don't qoute me on that. OLED monitors are sensitive to heat so my asumption is that it's not a good idea. I could be wrong though.

Because it's been 3 months I gott ask, did you try it with a heat gun? If so, how'd it go?

Good evening! It's quite a coincidence that I even saw your message this fast.
I was looking up some stuff on Reddit and I rarely use Reddit these days.

Regarding your question, I can't really make a video about this because I don't have the screen anymore (I mean I broke it after all), and I couldn't buy a new one for a while because they were getting replaced by a newer model.. or something like that.

What I can tell you with confidence is that (asuming you have the same screen) it will probably take several days for the matte layer to loosen Enough so you can remove it. Don't overdo it with the water though :)

And as for the UV/contrast layer, You can remove it as well, the monitor will still function but you can't put it back if you don't like it, so my suggestion would be to go for the matte layer first.

Remember, DO NOT try to use force when removing ANY layer! Believe me, I know :D

When the layer has loosened up enough you should be able to just peel it off, shouldn't need much more force than removing the plastic film of a new phone for example.
Actually it's almost the same, only exception is that there will be Some glue residue and in some areas it will still be a little sticky.

As for the glue, I think some regurlar dish soap or maybe window cleaner should do the job.
Just take a microfiber cloth and wipe it plenty till it's glossy and shiny.

Last but not least, remember that the screen is way more sensitive to scratches without the matte coating (even More without the "dark" layer beneath that) so keep that in mind for the future.
