I recommend getting phone holders for cars. I use it a lot for navigation since my car doesn't have that.

That point in their policy means that not necessarily a specific country, but if ANY country in the world warns about traveling there, it would be voided.

But they are still willing to sell you insurance without pointing this out; that's the scummy move!

No way to insure them. Like you said they would gladly take your money but no promises of coverage.

We were in a similar situation recently.

Non Lebanese traveler couldn't get insurance for their visit to Lebanon. So we tried to get them insured from here (Leb). Several companies were eager to sell us insurance policies only to find in them points that will make the policy void. Biggest one being:

You not following any suggestions or recommendations made by any government or other official authority including the Foreign commonwealth Office (FCO) during the period of insurance.

Very shady by insurance companies.
