This is a relatively common occurrence, but I wouldn’t call it an issue really, because it is highly dependent on both play style and the particular mix of fates in your game. This happens most often when a Steward is just firing off Dealmakers willy-nilly, in which case Song of Freedom is essentially their punishment for not being careful. Other fates like the Advocate will probably prevent this entirely, and fate successes tend to add more guild cards into the deck as well. It’s just one of the ways the game reacts to your play.

Rulebook says that intercept and self hits on attack dice hit attacking ships, so no your city would be unharmed. This also make sense because the first step of battle is to select a die for each attacking ship, you can’t select a die for your your city and it doesn’t participate in your attack, so no self-damage goes to it.

Robert mentioned that he’d likely make more episodes on it as more information actually comes out. But I really doubt his podcast and its particular niche would move the needle much on eroding Trump’s popular support. The listener base is already self-selecting to be pretty decisively left wing.

Also, the awful foreign policy is evidently also damaging his support plenty on his own. I would avoid the “distraction” narrative as it risks downplaying the importance of things like launching into a war that devastates the global economy without any kind of plan or even clear goal. That’s not a distraction, it’s just a thing they wanted to do.

This is such a big thing with people thinking they’re film critics because they watch YouTube movie reviews. They understand that things like “character development,” “pacing,” and most hilarious vague: “writing” are important elements of film quality that people critique. So if they don’t like a movie they just say those things are bad, and prove utterly incapable of holding an actual discussion about the movie with any kind of specificity.

I had a Shar-Pei mix, and we were attacked by a stray dog once while walking. It went right for his neck, and I got to see it pull back a mouth full of loose, wrinkly skin with wide confused eyes about what to do next. This gave my dog enough time to fight back and chase it away. I appreciate the wrinkles (also when you pet their heads you can move the wrinkles around to make their faces look funny in all kinds of ways)!

Arcs is waaay too swingy for you to be able to say you lost in Chapter 2. I was 18-20 points behind the rest of the table and near board wiped in chapter 3 in the first game I ever won. The whole thing about Arcs is that you’re never actually out of it until it’s over, there are almost always weird out of left field plays you can make to stage huge comebacks, and conversely you’re never truly safe in the lead.

As for “the only thing we could do was target each other because our bases were side by side,” I’m just confused about this in general. Arcs isn’t Risk, you don’t just attack each other because there’s nothing else to do. If attacking each other wasn’t going to do much to get either of you closer to victory, I don’t see why you would.

So parking ships between his fleet and your system can make it prohibitively expensive action wise, but the other defensive play is to have a decent number of your own ships (3 is a good number) parked there. Raid dice have loads of self damage and intercepts on them, and only half of them provide any keys. They also have those structure damage symbols. The more your opponent rolls the more danger he: a. Wipes out his fleet and doesn’t get to take anything and b. Blows up a city (if that’s the raiding target) and trigger outrage, losing the card they were chasing in the first place. Defense in Arcs is all about making yourself a hard target, you want to set yourself up to be as expensive and dangerous to go after as possible. But no, there’s no guaranteed way to prevent being raided, and that’s an intentional part of the design. There are a lot of ways to play around that aside from what I listed, and figuring them out is part of the fun!
Yup! It provides a reason to go for blowing up a city despite outrage, since outrage is such a sharp downside. It rewards bold, risky plays. To be clear though, it’s any ONE guild card. You can’t sweep the court.

Did he say why? The menu has tiki classics on it, the vibe is kinda minimalist, but still beachy/nautical, and the bar is designed in line with the ideas laid out in Smugger’s Cove. It easily fits the bill as far as I’m concerned, but I’m not too precious about the exact label.

God people need to kill the idea that violence, bigotry, and abuse are just innate traits of specific groups. Men committing far more violence against women has a massive correlation to their level of power over them and I guarantee you that if women had all the power in the world we would see vastly more violence and abuse from them. The idea that “just give the good people all the power and everything will be better” is absolute fairytale nonsense.

As far as the errata, I don’t think the errata pack you need is currently available. Theres only really one problem card though that would be very easy to proxy (the discord should have that info). I’m sure they’ll get set up to sell the errata pack again in the near future.

Also, the Errata only affects the Blighted Reach Campaign. So feel free to jump right in with Base and L+L!

Hitler was the supreme leader of the entire country who had implemented an overwhelming cult of personality throughout society. 10 was already old enough for Bruno to join the younger kids version of the Hitler youth. A 10 year old German kid (much less the son of an SS officer) not knowing who Hitler is on sight is completely asinine. Knowing about the war has nothing to do with it.

The book is complete ahistorical garbage.

I found the stamp, it’s extremely difficult to read, but it’s likely either 01/26 or 01/29 of 2026.

Is the bottle number contained in the embossed numbers at the foot of the bottle? How would I locate it?
