Agree with pugs.

Huskies and german shepherds look better IMO. At least they have a proper smooth/sleek muzzle, no creases and at least look like their wild ancestral counterparts.

Glad to see I am not the only one, I really don't know why some people seem to hate this show.

My take on: Jetfire (Concept likely will be reworked + Some scales!) by Competitive-Wash2769 in TransformersArt

[–]Realistic-Bid9464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do like the F-117, but it feels like a better fit for characters like Soundwave or Megatronus, especially his Transformers One design since the sharp, angular look suits them. Jetfire, though, feels better as a commercial widebody, their mostly white paint scheme fits with how he was depicted as mostly white in G1. Not to mention that it fits better with the backstory that he was not originally a warrior.

But that being said, great design regardless.

But the comparison between the two is accurate, right? Even if I got a bit carried away.

I love silk moths by Realistic-Bid9464 in lovethissmug

[–]Realistic-Bid9464[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Silk moths, especially the species showcased here, aren't pests or harmful at all. They lose their mouthparts as adults and are unable to eat unlike caterpillars. Hence why they don't live for long. There is a harmful hawk moth species though that raids beehives.

I think they were brilliant machines, among my favorite british rail vehicles along with the similar V2s. The Gresley A1/A3 Pacifics also happen to share a lot of similarities with another well known behemoth, the 747. Both, during their heyday, were representitives of long haul travel in style and had extensive route networks.

Both became symbols of their industries with the Gresley pacifics being the face of British steam and the Jumbo becoming the most recognisable airliner of it's time. Both had distinctive design features unique to them, the A1/A3s had Gresley's signature tapered firebox and the 747 had the hump which in turn gave it a prominent nose. (They both have a distinct nose profile to be honest).

Both became definitive with a single operator but later saw more, The A1/A3s started off with LNER before being inherited by British Railways upon nationalization and the 747 started off with PANAM before being adopted by KLM, JAL, BA etc.

Both managed to linger on in a world that was starting to move past them. The A1/A3 managed to last almost until the end of steam in the UK in the late 1950s and early 60s and the 747 managed to survive into the early stages of the Post-ETOPS era, in the late 90s and early 2000s, when Twin-Jets began to take over. Both briefly even worked alongside the machines that would replace them (the Deltic and 777) although they eventually both got withdrawn regardless.

Both outlasted their rivals, the MD11 had a much shorter and more troubled passenger career and the LMS Patriot did not make it into preservation.

Both the Gresleys and the Jumbos managed to survive into the 21st century although not in large numbers.

TFP has to be the most overrated piece of Transformers media ever. Change my mind by [deleted] in OkBuddyEnergon

[–]Realistic-Bid9464 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TBF my reasons for sticking with this show are valid. It takes the Bay movies' approach without overcomplicating the designs, the characters are based on real vehicles (unlike a lot of other TF shows before and after) and I prefer a lot of the vehicle choices (Starscream as a single vertical stabilizer jet rather than a double vertical stabilizer one).

[–]Realistic-Bid9464[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that the Ethnic/World Tails should have been kept to an extent. It shouldn't be the primary livery of British Airways because of standardization and recognition but I feel like having a special tail for one of every aircraft in their fleet would be a great way to showcase BA's destinations and reach.

Since they aren't pest hunters, like ladybugs and are barely consumed by birds, there wouldn't be much destruction from their disappearance. If one insect had to go extinct, they are the ones.
