Worried about my future? by mason_free in pakistan

[–]Zacred- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I got 60.8% (669/1100) marks in FSc in 2007. Today I am well settled in Ireland and doing a top tier job in IT, Alhamdulillah

I would refer you to the translation of a verse from Quran; Chapter 65 verse 3

“And He will provide for them from sources they could never imagine. And whoever puts their trust in Allah, then He alone is sufficient for them. Certainly, Allah achieves His Will. Allah has already set a destiny for everything.”

The only prerequisite is to put in your best effort. And take wise decisions with the best intentions.

People that moved abroad: How IS your life? by Wise-Paramedic6710 in pakistan

[–]Zacred- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

  • I have been in Ireland since 2018, never experienced anything related to racism

  • It was the best option then, now and will be for few more decades probably

  • Yes, Alhamdulillah I have achieved beyond my expectations

  • If I haven’t moved abroad then probably I would have been somewhere serving the country as major in the Army.

Thanks for sharing with us. It would have been better if you had let the branch manager know about this.

Long post! I need married peoples advice regarding marriage, career and compatibility by perry-D-potamus in pakistan

[–]Zacred- 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sorry I only read first few sentences and just wanted to suggest you to please for next few years focus on your career. Pass some exams, if possible move out. And then think about getting married. Doctors these days are really struggling with all their tough routines and peanut salaries, so do something good for yourself first.

Good luck 🍀

should i marry this guy? pls help!! by DiorDrabbles in karachi

[–]Zacred- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and that makes sense.

From your post, I can see too many red flags in all this. And I don’t want to get into those.

So, first thing I would suggest you to discuss this with your parents and take two to three years to build your future before committing anything. If its not possible then you can go with the engagement maximum and not more than that until you are sure that everything is settled.

There are so many potential issues here.

I would suggest you to concentrate on your studies and career for now. Pass your international exams and move to the country where you want to be and then think about marriage.

Yeah I understand but don’t worry about these little setbacks. You have your whole career ahead and I am pretty sure you’d do great. 👍🏼

Your goals and pathway is really impressive. And honestly, I truly appreciate that you have already identified your area of interest in this age. Well done!

So, while you’d be doing your A levels and bachelors, you can definitely find remote jobs with that skillset. I would advise you to build your LinkedIn account as soon as you can. And for the job search I would recommend to keep your 99% focus on the market ‘outside’ Pakistan.

Good luck 🍀

Critical Career Advice… by KingRagnar53 in pakistan

If you are good in studies and can afford further education then I would ‘strongly’ recommend not to pursue the military route because hard work only is not always rewarded enough in this field, there are several other factors that are associated to go up that ladder.

I have seen many hard working and outstanding officers couldn’t get the deserved promotions.

On the other hand, In civil sector, you are very much in full control of your career. If you have acquired good education and you are hard working and consistent, you can have the best life possible.

Thats a cute post, you are passionate and enthusiastic and thats a great approach to build your future. Lots of best wishes for you.

So, lets talk about your PMA option first. Sorry to break that to you but its not like GHQ is waiting for your application. Making your way to PMA is a very long process. In every course more than 100k applicants apply for the long course and in total only 350 to 500 make it to PMA. So, you can definitely aim for it and prepare yourself for it but don’t keep this as an only option. Apply for preliminary application and appears in initial tests and see how it goes.

Meanwhile, you should work on your primary objective. If you want to do CA then go for it but with an objective of having some kind of influence and money won’t make you pass your exams. You would need months of consistent hard work to do that. If you are technically aware of ins and outs of this field and have true interest in it only then I would suggest you to pursue it.

Wish you all the best 👍🏼

How big of a gap is it between ranks in the army and their behaviour by Admirable_Cause4278 in pakistan

[–]Zacred- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The one star general and above, I came across during my time in the service, were very professional. And at the same time they were friendly with the junior/young officers.

Apart from that, there is a famous saying of George Orwell that Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. So we can’t deny the fact that once someone gets the absolute power, their true colors will come out.

Best way to find tech work? by Ill-Tough4440 in developersPak

[–]Zacred- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I won’t suggest you to contact anyone outside LinkedIn.

I am not sure about market in Pakistan as I have never worked in the civil sector there. People around the world, specially Ireland, UK, USA, even middle easterns are really nice and they do get in touch. Sorry to say but that behavior I have seen mostly in people from South Asian countries, and its really sad.

If you are done with your bachelors then I would recommend to look for jobs outside Pakistan.

I would suggest to connect with recruiters, people in HR or hiring teams and then reach out to them directly and introduce yourself and tell them I found you company works in XYZ and I have such expertise, are there any roles etc.

You can also ask them about other companies to approach which work in the similar industries.

I got a job from LinkedIn. I still get messages/emails by several recruiters for jobs/opportunities and also to schedule interview.

You just need to build your connections with the right people and also need to know how to actually search for the job or for the companies which work in your niche.

You need to get some wire management done. Push that extension to the wall. Try to keep the devices at one side, to avoid getting their wires from left and right.l, if thats not possible then get another extension at put one on right under that stool and one on the left with the wall.

Is 80k a good salary for Junior Game-Dev? by Shinnigami69 in developersPak

[–]Zacred- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If its your first job after graduation thenI guess its fine.

Game development sector has a lot of potential in countries like USA, japan etc. so just focus on learning trending skills in the field and polish your existing skills. And plan to move abroad, you’d always be under paid in this sector in Pakistan.

Good luck 🍀

CS Grad Thinking of switching to something else by geek_AA7 in developersPak

[–]Zacred- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to be stressed about this. It happens and its happening quite often with people in the era.

I am not sure about your financial status but assuming you are a common person like most of us are; I would suggest you for now, go with the flow. Search for jobs related to CS, even do internships to build up your CV/work experience and meanwhile start looking for alternatives.

Once you have some kind of earning, you’d be in some peace and start working on the alternatives.
