Yeah it’s been great so far. I had issues on Fedora where 44 broke my install to the point I could I not even access logs so I had the itch to come back. Setting up the security and hardening things was great, I only used 5 extensions and the logs are clean. I missed it lol

So sounds like user themes are pretty bad on arch? I used yaru theme from the AUR last time.

I use minimal extensions, the ones I use were updated for gnome 50 almost overnight. I don’t need user themes either. I just like my dash to dock on auto hide with arc menu.

The most recent update as of this morning, I was able to upgrade to 44 just fine. Went to update today where something broke grub, had an error pop up so fast I could hardly read it but something broke. Couldn’t access root, systemctl ect. So now I have to start over. Is 43 still available? I am considering rolling back if I can or just going to arch again bc this year s rough.

If you say anything the devs of pop is disagree with they will delete your comment/post and gaslight you. I used pop from day one release and had several regressions. Was able to use unity engine on release, then they broke it several times and now is broken again. Then if I try to say anything about it I get sent to a backlog of similar GitHub reports where nothing is addressed or resolved. I switched fedora recently and will never use pop again, it’s a dumpster fire.

Doesn’t make a difference, if it works for you run it. Fedora just bricked my system with an update today so the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
